Hi, I’m Rachel and my partner and I moved to NOLA from St. Louis in 2026 so he could begin medical school. I began pet sitting in college, and I have continued ever since as my favorite side gig. My family and I have always had dogs in our lives, and we consider them part of family. I do not have any pets of my own in New Orleans, but my family has two French bulldogs, who I adore! We have also owned labs, English bulldogs, and several mixed breeds. I only accept one boarding or house sitting appointment at a time, that way I can provide your pet with as much attention as they need. My partner is also in the home most of the time, so we can provide 2x the attention for boarding appointments.

Rachel was great! Excellent communication and very flexible with last minute schedule changes. Coach had a great time.
Rachel and Matt were fantastic. Our dog is a challenge because he is at risk of seizures, which require regular medication. That would be enough, but he is also a very bossy, reactive herding dog. None of that was a problem for Rachel and Matt, who took it all in stride. They kept us informed and took good care of our pup. They were wonderful.
Aoife had a great time staying with Rachel and Matthew. They were prompt with the communication providing pupdates over the weekend. They took a great care of our doggy, and all of her belongings also came back in excellent shape (which is not always the case with boarding). We will definitely use boarding with Rachel again, thank you!
Rachel and Matt were great. I had a sitter cancel on me last minute and they were very accommodating with a short notice. They followed all care instructions. From what I can tell Archie felt at home. I'd definitely use them again.
Rachel took great care of Theo and made sure that he was comfortable during his stay. She kept me updated with photos too. I would definitely use Rachel again and recommend her to others!
They were great with our injured little guy, got him his meds, took him for little walks, gave him some loves and supplied a great place in NOLA to recoop. Rachel had sent updates and pictures throughout the stay, was great with communicating and working with us and our adjusting schedule! Would definitely use again and highly recommend to anyone in the NOLA area!

Programa
I have a hybrid work schedule, and work from home several days of the week. Because of this I am able to let animals out several times a day and provide them as many walks as needed. I also live with a male partner who has a similar schedule. Between the two of us, someone can be home nearly all of the time. We love to take the pets in our care out for walks on the bayou or in City Park!

I am a highly attentive and responsible caretaker who always stays in tune with an animal's needs. For instance, I ensure that the outdoor temperature is safe for dogs to be taken out in, I keep a safe distance if it appears that there is any tension between your pet and another while walking, I ensure that pets are eating and drinking normally, and I keep an eye out for anything that might be tempting for an animal to try to swallow, both at home and during walks. I care for others' pets with the same love and care that I have shown towards my pets. However, I am also highly attuned to the specific concerns and needs given to me by pet owners, as they are the experts on their pet's life. If anything seems to be "off," I let the owners know in a timely fashion. I always ensure that the animals I care for are in a safe environment and adapt to their specific needs.
Un día normal
I love spending time outdoors, and that time is even better spent in the company of animals. I leave it up to the owners regarding the number of walks needed each day, so please let me know. I am happy to take them out several times a day and enjoy walking around the bayou and City Park.
