Information Rachel S. would like to know about your pet

Any medications they are on, any past history of fights or preference for men or women, certain neighborhood dogs they don't along well with. Their aggression and weight, so I know to hold them closer to collar and be more alert when I walk them.

A typical day

I love phsyical activity so if your dog is up for it, would love to play catch etc. Also visit my favorite park nearby, Tanglewood park, that also has a dog park and ton of land to safely walk and roam around. We can go on safe trails too - anything with nature and being outdoors.

Pet care experience

Client’s home- they love their normal walks and I try to go a different route each time. I normally turn the other way when I see other animals, as of lately, most of the animals I care for are less tolerable to new animals

Rachel is very sweet and kind. She took good care of our 6 month old Pyrenees mix over 2 nights. She was pretty communicative and flexible. Thanks Rachel!!

Rachel may do well with healthy dogs. But she was not able to do well for Charlie. He has multiple health problems that she could not handle. Charlie is diabetic and needs to be fed a certain type and amount of food to match his insulin dose. When I picked him up, he was in ketoacidosis and had lost 10% of his body weight. One of the problems with ketoacidosis is polyuria. So he was literally peeing himself to death. Rachel was texting me every other day to accuse me of lying about him being housebroken. She completely altered his meal plan despite three demonstrations and written instructions as well, all provided prior to the sitting. Then she is angry because Charlie cannot hold a gallon of urine in his bladder for 8 hours. I chose Rachel because her profile claims she is experienced with injections and in caring for senior dogs as well as being able to provide potty breaks every 4 hours. None of that was actually true. She was not interested in learning about his condition before hand and she never should have accepted the job. Rachel is not bad with dogs. Charlie is just fine emotionally. I know she treated him well, worked hard and did the best she could. But she was not prepared to take care of a dog with complex medical issues like Charlie.

Rachel was the first sitter to have Mr Van Gogh relaxed enough for him to pet her. He's a nice guy, he's just not used to other people other than dad. So, you know Rachel has the vibe that brings on the chill with our little fuzz balls who own our hearts. She sent me a video and an update how he was doing that was great. Will book with her again, quality sitter.
