Availability
I am a regular sitter for multiple clients so I do have busy afternoons during the work week. I am currently looking into taking classes at Wake Tech, taekwondo classes, and do some InstaCart jobs on occasion depending on my availability. I won’t be available January 9-11, the night of January 15th, Memorial Day Weekend, May 31-June 8, and July 23-26.

About Rachel R.

Safety, trust & environment
I would make sure to follow any rules a client would have about their pet and their own home, being very sure to showcase trust to the client and their pet. I do request that I meet with new clients and their pets before bookings to build rapport and trust between us. If we’re unable to meet beforehand, I spend time with the pet(s) on the first day of a booking in order to build a trusting relationship and learn more about their temperament & energy.
Information Rachel R. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if a dog has any problems, health wise, temperament, etc., If they need to take any medicine and when, and what I can and can't give them as food or treats.
A typical day
If a park is nearby, I would bring pets there for exercise if their owners approve. I would play fetch or tug of war with dogs to keep them entertained and give them long walks on good days to tire them out and plenty of time to empty their tanks.

Caring for a pitbull and loving it
Pet care experience
I make sure dogs are well fed and get enough exercise. I enjoy playing with dogs and give them treats for good behavior. I've had three dogs for over ten years and come from a dog loving family. I currently have a pitbull and love him like he's a true member of the family. I follow instructions to the letter, keep close eye on pets when I'm watching them, and make sure they have enough water in their bowls. I clean up after them and make sure the house is cleaner than when I first arrive. I'm extra cautious when taking dogs on walks and I make sure they're properly leashed before taking them out. I do enjoy being around animals and treating them like people.

Reviews

Rachel is awesome. Communicates extremely well and gives updates on everything, she even bring mail in from deliveries. Sends pictures of pets each visit. Will continue to hire Rachel for as long as we can.

Rachel is fabulous!!! We don’t ever want anyone else caring for our dog - Rachel is caring, loving, and extremely responsible. We’re so glad that we connected with her. She’s cared for Jade for a couple of years and wouldn’t want anyone else!!

Rachel was absolutely amazing with my dog! I sent a request for one dog to be walked and she took care of my other one too and changed her pads in her crate!

Rachel is so reliable. Our dog loves her.
