Pet care experience
A true lover of animals ♡
I believe that as humans, we don’t deserve animals and therefore we should give them the greatest quality of love and care. I grew up in a dog household with our little poodle who I loved so dearly. She went through all of my childhood with me, even after I left the house for college. I loved dogs so much that my neighbors realized and I began to watch their animals at a very young age. My neighbor’s dog, Pepper, was my best friend and the hardest day of my childhood was when she unfortunately passed. She meant the world to me and wasn’t even my family’s dog hahah. I cared for animals so deeply that I thought I may want to become a veterinarian, so I started working at a vet hospital and did that all throughout high school. I learned a large range of skills there as well as just overall knowledge of the health of domestic animals. I was able to tun puppy socialization classes there as well. It was an amazing experience. As I’ve grown older, I have watched many dogs and cats. Friends, family, and people I meet through friends have asked me to watch their animals and I always feel honored that they choose me to be the one they trust with their pets. It is a big job and a big responsibility, so it means a lot to me. During Covid, I had to come home from college and my parents decided (with much convincing from me) to got a 8 week old puppy. While they worked for 8 hours of the day, I stayed home with Sampson, cared for him, trained him, and got to help him grow up into the amazing dog he is today. I just can’t believe we have such amazing creatures on this earth and we get to have them as OUR companions.

Ratings and reviews
Rachel is an amazing dog sitter. It is always hard to trust someone to care for our fur babies, and the peace of mind I have leaving my baby with Rachel is priceless. I could not recommend her enough. Respectful, reliable, communicative, professional, and a great caretaker. She is certainly my go to! Thank you, Rachel!

Schedule
I work fully remote Monday-Friday 8am-5pm so it makes things a lot easier in terms of being able to care for a pet in my home. Bathroom breaks, cuddle sessions, and walks are incredibly easy for me to provide. I am very happy to go to a clients home as well, but that may be easier for me on a weekend, unless I can work from the client’s home. I am happy to do walks or any care after 5:00pm. As long as I’m not traveling on the weekend, I am free to do any care or boarding during that time as well.

Safety, trust & environment
I am a firm believer of keeping a routine, if your pet has one, and not indulging them too much. I’m going to give them love and care and treats, but only as much as they desire, feel comfortable with, and is reasonable all around. I don’t have a yard unfortunately, but I live very close to Central Park as well as another park that have dog parks or are just good places to take your pet. I do feel as though it is important for me to know how your animal interacts with other animals, as I will always do what the client feels most comfortable with.
