Services
Rachel & Paul can care for
Availability
Most of my work is flexible and remote, so I am generally able to spend considerable time with pet clients, and provide frequent walks and breaks. I am skilled in administering a range of medications. When I do have in-person commitments, I am teaching classes at a couple of Boston universities a couple of times a week for 1-2 hours, not working a 9-5.

About Rachel & Paul L.
Communication
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
Out of respect for my senior cat, I can't invite pet clients into my house, but I can guarantee a comfortable in-home experience, swift and regular updates as desired, and attention to the details that make the sitting experience as natural as possible for your pet.
Information Rachel & Paul L. would like to know about your pet
No breed preferences! It's helpful to know how much attention and touch your dog likes (and when and where) and what kinds of exercise/stimulation and tone of voice puts them at ease so I can be as kind as possible to them.

Responsive, individualized care
Pet care experience
I volunteered in a vet hospital through high school and college, so I've learned a lot about nutrition, medicine, training, and grooming of all animals. I'm also an avid walker and runner, so I can give your pet the level of exercise you choose and care for them in the comfort of their own home. My own family dog grew up with me and taught me to be attentive to pets' changing stages of life (puppy to geriatric) and all the surprising, silly, smelly, and joyous elements that come with it. I've also always had lots of empathy for animals (and appreciated the empathy they have for us), and I'm very attuned to the needs and moods of creatures around me. My grad program means I have flexible time, but not enough stability to adopt a dog of my own, though I've taken care of them since I was a teenager (right now my partner and I have a beloved but very particular cat, with multiple advanced medical needs that I manage). I'm happy for an opportunity to spend time with and care for your animals.
Reviews

Paul is reliable, quick to respond and very patient with my senior dog. We have used him for a walk several times and recommend him highly.

Paul is the best! Will book with him every time.
Paul was excellent! He sent lots of photos/updates which was really nice, and we could see how much our dog loved him. Highly recommended.

Paul is wonderful! He walked my 13-year-old, somewhat quirky doodle multiple times. I really appreciate how communicative, punctual, patient and dependable he was. We will definitely use him again!
