Seeking New Furry Friends!
I have experience petsitting for pets with many types of needs: elderly pets, pets with separation anxiety, puppies, and pets who needed medications at specific times. I have had a family pet since I was four years old. I have always been very involved in caring for my family's dogs, and have always loved teaching them new tricks, walking them, and playing with them. I started dog sitting with my friend's dog Murphy (he is the dog with the bowtie in the photos!) when I was around 13. I have always loved being able to take him for walks and playing with him in the backyard. I have dogsat for several of my friends' dogs since then, and I started petsitting for a neighbor when I was 16. I sat for them for several years and would spend the night at the home because one of the dogs had really bad separation anxiety. The family had two cats and three dogs. Over the years I sat for them, the oldest dog developed many special needs that I had to tend to. I had to make sure she took her medicine, walked around to exercise her stiff joints, and towards the end of her life, I had to help her walk outside so that she could use the bathroom. The youngest dog was still very much a puppy when I first started petsitting for them, and it was always very fun to play with her in the backyard and take her on long walks so that she could burn off all that puppy energy!

Safety, trust & environment
In your home, I can use toys to play with the pets and take the dogs on walks or to the park. I can feed your pets and take them outside to use the bathroom or I can keep the litter box clean. Also, I can give them treats and let them show me any tricks they know! I am a very caring person and will make sure that your pets are as comfortable and happy as possible at all times. I also would love to send you pictures of your pets so that they don't feel so far away from you while you are apart!

Rachel was not intimidated by his large size and even was so kind as to purchase him treats to help redirect on his two daily walks. True dog lovers! Rachel watched my dog Tulip for me while I took a weekend getaway. At our meet & greet Tulip ran to Rachel like they were friends for years. She gave me updates and picked Tulip up & dropped her off as planned. Everything went smoothly and I’d definitely use her the next time I’m away!
Rachel was great! She was wonderful with Poppy and very communicative.
Rachel was fantastic! She was able to watch our dog on short notice and took extra great care of our pup and kitty. She was very calm and nurturing with our dog, which really helped with her separation anxiety. She also was easy to communicate with and sent us lots of updates. We would definitely recommend her for dog and house sitting!

Rachel is such a good pet caregiver. She has dog sat for my dog Murphy for over five years and has done an amazing job each and every time. Whenever we came back from trips Murphy was very happy! Rachel has a great personality and is extremely hardworking I cannot recommend her enough!!

Schedule
I work the PM shift at my job (Sun-Thurs), so I’m free mornings until 1pm during the week. And on Friday and Saturday, I’m free 24/7!

- Please let me know if your pet has any special dietary, medical, or other needs so that I can best accommodate them. Additionally, let me know if your pets like treats, or if treats just don't agree with them :)
