Love dogs, playful and creative!
I have always been around dogs since I was young. I've owned three dogs of my own. I have worked with animals as a kennel tech, veterinary assistant and vet tech. I have experience taking care of senior dogs, young dogs, puppies. I have currently own a Belgian malinois who is a retired police dog, and I regularly work with him teaching him new skills as a working dog. I really enjoy working dogs and training them. I love being outdoors and getting down and dirty with my dogs swimming in the lake, I love bathing dogs and going for runs and walks.

Schedule
I currently a masters level student finishing up my degree in counseling. Before going back to school I worked with dogs for many years. On Mondays, Thursdays, and fridays I go to my internship and the rest of the days of the week im able to care for pets. If you board your dog in my home they must be friendly with my dogs, since i have two. I dont mind if dogs are on the couch. I am comfortable with a variety of animals, including cats, birds, dogs, and hamsters. I enjoy taking breaks from studying to walk outside and I am fairly active.

I am very attentive to dogs health and behavior. Having experience in the veterinary industry helps because I can pick up right away if there is something wrong. Im also able to read dog body language, and de escalate situations if a dog becomes distressed or anxious. I am familiar with a wide variety of leashes and harnesses. I also use lots of treats to help build trust with animals and direct dogs with positive reinforcement. If you board your pets at my home they must be dog friendly.
Pets
A typical day
I love walking the dogs, playing tug of war, ball, we have a pond where I take the dogs swimming by my house. My golden retriever loves to play so if your pup is playful they will get a lot of energy out in the yard. I feed my dogs twice a day, but can feed yours anytime your feeding schedule is. I have a garage and fenced in yard. I prefer if you bring your own kennel for long stays. I also give treats so let me know if they have any allergies. In the evening it's chill time, some treats and snuggles, then dinner.

- I am pretty active and i like running with dogs. Im okay with the crazy hyper ones. I will even roller blade with them. I like to be prepared and know if he will need more exercise or less exercise, how many potty times he needs, etc. If you want me to leave your dog a bone or treat while you are out of town let me know!
