Hello, thanks for taking a pause to meet me! I'm Rachel. I can't wait to serve you and love on your fur-baby! I've had my own pets to love on since I was single digits, but in 2018 I began pet sitting and fell in love with it. It is such an honor to take care of pets while owners are away for business trips, to care for family, or a fun vacation. We had our mini-doxie Mocha Latte for 13.5 years until she passed May 2025. She's taught me so much about the love of an animal and the responsibility we have to cherish the unconditional love they offer. Our pet family now has 3. Our cat, Oreo, is calm and relaxed. Mocha and Oreo used to play together! Oreo has dominion over the master bedroom with a gate at the door so she can choose to come out or stay away in her own space. We added another mini-doxie, Cappuccino, to the family Spring 2023 due to not sharing of Mocha - and then Cafe Jolie Spring 2025! She is spunky and friendly and a great addition to our family. Dog sitting has provided a way for my other sons to enjoy caring for animals without us having a pet per child. We love snuggling up with everyone on the couch for movie nights.

Rachel is my pup’s favorite place to stay. When I start to get her things together, she knows exactly where she is going and gets sooooo excited. Rachel and her family always do a great job taking care of our girl.
Our dog, Maggie, absolutely loves her time at Rachel’s house. The minute she sees me packing up her things she knows where she is going and is so excited. We are always so appreciative of Rachel’s care for our little girl.

Sweet and caring family that allowed my Yorkie in their beds:) My boy was there long time and came back to us relaxed and happy, no signs of stress or discomfort. My Yorkie even loved the cat. He hates cats but got along with this laid back dog trained one no problems.
We absolutely love Rachel and her family and always feel comfortable leaving our sweet boy Maverick with them!

Schedule
I'm a homeschooling Mama, so I am able to care for pets while teaching my children. We briefly leave the home for evening sports or seeing friends, but usually one of the older children will still stay home. Kylee, 16, is very active in helping care for pets in our home. As a tween spent her free time reading Caesar Millan books and looking into being a dog trainer. We rarely kennel pets unless the owner has a routine or preference for it when we leave the house. Our backyard is tended weekly by Department of Doody to ensure a safe and clean environment for dogs to both use the bathroom and play in our backyard. We also have it sanitized twice a year.

Safety, trust & environment
For Dog walking I will sometimes have my children walking with me, so kid friendly pets are a requirement for me. Home visits will be completed solo without my children. I know how much trust it takes to allow someone into your home and I treat every home the way I would want someone to respect and honor my home. When I visit a home I will follow instructions the owner has left to care for their pets, clean up any messes that may have been made by the pets, ensure everything is where it should be, and pets needs fully tended to before re-securing the home.

A typical day
In our home, we cherish our dogs with tender nurturing and playfulness. Dogs who stay with us can expect to play outside with my boys playing chase and fetch. They can expect to hear a lot of laughter and singing. At bedtime our dog guests have usually chosen a person in our family they bonded with the most and are allowed to sleep with that person, unless they prefer their own dog bed or the couch. We allow them to choose where they feel the most comfortable.
