Dog Loving Work from Home Sitter

I am lucky to work from home full time which means your pet will get plenty of attention and I can be super flexible with drop off and pick up times. I bought my house in Denver a few years ago and I love opening my home to pups and to provide their owners with one less thing to worry about while prepping for a trip. I live in a beautiful neighborhood with walking trails in the woods behind my home. I also have a pond in my neighborhood so expect some really pretty pictures of your pet at ease while you are away. Your dog will be sharing the home with my very spoiled rescue Papillon/Chihuahua mix (at least that’s what I think he is). My dog is well socialized and friendly but will give your pup their space since he is pretty independent. I have been dog sitting since the beginning of 2013. Being around dogs and meeting fellow dog lovers brings me so much joy. Also with my dog being an only dog, he enjoys the socialization and I enjoy him having a friend around. A few years ago I was asked by Dogvacay, before they merged with Rover, to do a live interview for them on NBC to talk about Dogvacay as well as several other helpful dog care apps. Some of those pictures are in my profile!

Rachel was fantastic with Bailey and very flexible. My dog has a unique personality and Rachel had no issues. Was great with some of her picky food habits and giving her medication. Will definitely be booking with her again and can’t recommend her enough!

Rachel took great care of our Chiweenie. He is an older dog that takes medication and wears a diaper, but Rachel didn’t mind the extra care. Our dog really enjoyed playing with Rachel’s dog too. We felt very comfortable and would use her again if we are in the area again.

Rachel did a great job loving on and taking care of our pup. You can tell she loves dogs. She was great about sending pics and letting us know how he was doing while we were away. We felt relieved he was in good hands while we were on vacation. We will definitely use her again on our next trip.

Rachel was wonderful with Sophie. Our dogs mixed well. She took them for a walk and kept in touch. I would use Rachel again!

Rachel is the best dog sitter on Rover. For many years she has been like another parent to our fur baby. Our pooch loves spending time with her and we always feel at ease when leaving our baby with her. We are so committed to having Rachel watch our baby, we take into account her schedule when booking trips. Thank you Rachel!

Schedule

Working from home full time means your pup will get constant care and frequent walks. I’m available to watch dogs during the week and on weekends. Watching dogs easily and perfectly fits in my schedule.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Safety, trust & environment

All the dogs I watch are cared for in the same manner their owners tell me the dogs routine is at home. I never use a crate unless the owner tells me to and provides their own crate. Dogs are never let outside without a leash and I only watch one dog at a time. This all guarantees your dog is safe and comfortable in an environment outside their own home.

Pets

A typical day

I love to take walks around my neighborhood or in the woods behind my house. I also have a pond in my neighborhood and love to walk dogs there not just for the exercise but it also makes for a really beautiful background for pictures I’ll send of your dog. Your dog will be walked first thing in the morning, several times throughout the day, and one last time before bed. I always walk my dog at the same time I walk a dog I’m watching. I allow dogs on my couch (I keep blankets on my couches) and to sleep in my bedroom.

Rachel can host up to 2 pets per night
I always like to know each dog’s typical daily habits as far as eating, sleeping, and potty breaks. I also like to know of any allergies so I can make sure there isn’t a risk they’ll eat something other than their own food.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
