Mornings and evenings will generally work best with my WFH schedule, but I try my best to be flexible and accommodating. The one thing that I ask of my sitters (and love to hold myself to as well) is that I'd prefer they come around the same time every day while I'm away, but I let them choose what that time works best for their schedule. That way your cats can experience some regularity while you're away. 2026 update: I've started a Master's program (graduating in 2027). While I'm still largely flexible, my upcoming class schedule varies. I appreciate you being willing to let me adjust drop-ins slightly around my classes! I'll communicate with you on a case by case basis if class times conflict with your requested times.

About Rachel N.
Communication
Safety, trust & environment
When caring for cats, I am attentive and thorough. If instructions are left, I follow them to the letter, and if I’m just given guidelines and shown where things are, I use my best judgement as a pet parent myself. I leave thorough notes via Rover Cards (that account for every activity) and take tons of pictures. I only start a Rover Card once I’m in the presence of your pet and I only end it once the door is locked behind me. My attention is 100% on your pet/their needs for the duration of my stay.
Information Rachel N. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know a bit about your cat! Whether it’s just a few personality details, food/play preferences, or care requirements, it all helps me get to know your furry friend.
A typical day
I always bring along Zimmie’s favorite laser toy and have found that nearly all of the cats I’ve cared for really enjoy it! It helps when a cat is cautious of me because I can play with them and provide enrichment without them having to get too close. Aside from that, just let me know what your cat likes and I can use that for enrichment/entertainment!

Cat care experience
My current furry friend Zimmie is an asthmatic cat who taught me all about specialized TLC. She taught me how to administer oral and topical medication as well as a cat inhaler. Before her, my cat Cashew taught me how to care for an anxious, avoidant, hyperactive medium-hair cat, how to earn trust, how to help with hygiene. Prior to them, I’ve lived with and cared for four cats with wildly different personalities and grew up with a kitty who’s the textbook definition of a scaredy cat, so I feel properly equipped to care for cats of all kinds.
Reviews

Rachel is the best!!!! I love having someone we can leave the cats home to and feel peace of mind that no worries are needed.

Rachel did an amazing job taking care of Sally! Everything was clean and tidy when we got home, and we loved the thoughtful Polaroid pictures she left for us. Sally was clearly well cared for, and we would absolutely recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a great pet sitter.

Rachel was THE BEST!! I truly could not have asked for a better person to watch our fur children. She went above and beyond in every way. Not only did she take amazing care of them, but she really took the time to play with them, learn their personalities, and make them feel loved while we were away. Every time I got a Rover notification, my heart felt so full because she sent so many thoughtful updates and pictures during each check-in. You could genuinely tell she cared about them as individuals, not just as pets she was checking on. And the Polaroids 😭 I actually cried when we got home because she took Polaroids of each of them. That meant so much to me and made me feel so comforted knowing our kiddos were genuinely cared for and loved on, not just “looked after.” I would absolutely trust Rachel with our pets again and cannot recommend her enough.

Rachel went above and beyond to take care of the cats and entertain them! She was extremely responsive and I could really tell that she cared about the kitties.
