Large Fenced Yard!
Please, please actually read my profile. I put a lot of time into it for everyone’s safety and comfort, and that only works if you read it! :) I took care of my childhood dog during her later years when she slowed down and got dementia. After I lost her I waited a bit, but then adopted a puppy whom my partner and I have since trained and raised with positive reinforcement.

Rachel and Michael did an incredible job taking care of Enzo this weekend! I received lots of communication throughout the time about how things were going. Wouldn’t hesitate to leave Enzo with them again!

Luna was in a great mood when I picked her up. Rachel and her partner followed my instructions, gave her walks and exercise, had other dogs for Luna to play with, and sent me updates and photos. Would highly recommend.

Rachel was wonderful. She was attentive and caring to my much older dog that recently experienced some trauma in other boarding settings. Rachael helped her to adjust to the transition of staying in a new place and she sent regular photos and reports of her progress. When I picked up my dog, Rachel and her partner provided what felt like honest feedback back regarding some limitations my dog experienced with other animals at their house as well as shared behaviors they observed that I didn’t know my dog did until the two day visit with them. First instance - learned my dog definitely would hunt a cat if given the chance - this is useful intel future bookings. I definitely recommend Rachel to anyone.

Rachel was fantastic! We booked a longer stay with short notice and she was super easy to work with and communicated great! I will certainly rebook in the future and when I need a sitter for my pups!

Rachel is fantastic. She kept our dog Ruby for four nights. She gave us updates and treated Ruby like a princess. Highest recommendation.

Rachel is amazing with our highly energetic Sheltie pup! He always loves going there and hanging out with their dog and cats. They give him endless amounts of walks and fetch and outdoor play, even in the cold. 10/10!!!!

Schedule
I'm a full-time student who likes to get out for walks or to throw toys for my dog to break up my studying. My partner Michael works from home, so even when I am away from home for school, dogs have care! Dog-sitting is ideal for us, since they and I get company during the day, and they motivate my partner and I to get our steps in and breathe fresh air. If you want to drop off prior to 8am or pick up after 9pm, we do charge an extra fee for after hour care. The same applies for stays longer than 8 hours in one day.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced in yard with a dog of our own. There are two cats in our house — one is very friendly, and the other prefers to keep to herself. Both can be separated from your dog temporarily if they've ever taken issue with cats, but longer stays must be friendly with cats! When boarding I prefer to have the option of a kennel overnight, but will take them without it if your dog never uses one, as long as they are good with cats. I crate-trained my own dog who still loves her kennel, so I can continue your practices as well. PLEASE NOTE: if you would like to board your dog with us for more than three days (two nights), we request that we do a day of daycare prior, to make sure the dog is comfortable and that we are a good fit. (This avoids my own dog getting bullied or having to protect my cats for lengths of time, keeping your dog and my own family safe.) Dogs with lots of anxiety struggle to pass this step — if I cannot keep a dog comfortable, and my own family comfortable while they are comfortable, I am not comfortable having them in my house. In addition, if your dog has anxiety but think might be okay, I *will not* accept them for boarding without kennel training. I cannot risk them destroying my home or stressing out my calm dog — it just isn’t worth it. If you say your doggo doesn’t have anxiety but they end up having anxiety, or if they’re crate trained at home but bark all night long here, I may have to call Rover mid stay and find a different sitter who can better accommodate your dog’s needs. This is stressful for dogs and my family, so please shoot straight with me about what your dog needs.

A typical day
We have walking trails through our neighborhood that we walk nearly every day with our dog, and a large yard with lots of toys. My dog will race your dog playing fetch, but has always been more interested in the moving toy than other animals. I will exercise extensively and consistently return dogs happy and exhausted, but if your dog requires constant entertainment all day to be happy, I am not a good fit for you. Outside time is exciting, but we expect inside time to be (largely) calm.
