I’m able to schedule visits consistently throughout the day and week, and I’m always focused on keeping pets on their usual routine. I take safety and trust seriously and always care for pets based on their normal routine and your specific instructions. In a client’s home, I make sure doors and gates are securely closed, leashes and harnesses are properly fitted, and pets are supervised during potty breaks and playtime. I keep feeding schedules consistent, refresh water, and keep the space clean (including litter boxes). I’m also mindful of things like heat, sidewalks, and outdoor safety on walks. I’ll send regular updates and photos, and if anything seems off—like changes in appetite, behavior, or energy—I’ll reach out right away.

I’ll ask about feeding times, potty schedule, walks/exercise needs, sleeping preferences (crate trained vs. free roam), and any favorite toys, treats, or comfort items. I also like to know your pet’s personality and behavior—how they do with strangers or other animals, any triggers (thunder, fireworks, doorbells, etc.), and anything I should watch for while caring for them. If your pet has medical needs, I’ll confirm medications, allergies, and where everything is kept so I can follow instructions exactly. For safety, I’ll ask about leash/harness setup, door/gate security, off-limit areas in the home, and whether they can be off-leash in the yard. For cats, I’ll also confirm litter box care and whether they prefer playtime or more quiet company. Lastly, I’ll get your preferred update schedule, vet info, and an emergency contact so you feel fully comfortable while you’re away.

For dogs, that usually includes walks around the neighborhood, potty breaks throughout the day, playtime with toys (fetch, tug-of-war, or whatever they love), and lots of calm companionship in between. For cats, I’ll do feeding, litter box clean-up, and spend time with them based on their personality—playtime with toys, brushing, or just hanging out so they feel comfortable. I’m big on keeping pets on their normal schedule and I’ll send regular updates and photos so you always know how they’re doing.

Hello! My name is Rachel and I grew up with a cat and 2 dogs in my family. I fostered dogs from the local shelter all throughout college and pet sit for a few neighbors each month. I love animals and would love to help care for yours! Being active and attentive is important to me in caring for your animal. I can walk, play, dog sit, feed and let your furry friends out for you at an affordable price. I have a flexible schedule as well. I have been helping out with my neighbor’s dog for almost a year now so I have a credible reference if needed.
