I’m self-employed with a very flexible schedule and my husband works from home. We’re both huge animal lovers and have a combined 40+ year history in pet care. We have three dogs of our own and a cat and orient our schedules around making sure they have active, happy, and full lives!

I have a large, fenced-in yard plus multiple dog gates in our house to ensure everyone’s safety. We never leave dogs unsupervised in our yard and make sure everyone is in a secure environment both with and without us at home.

I'd love to know your dog's likes and dislikes as well as favorite treats and activities. We do have three dogs of our own, a housemate’s dog, and one cat, all of which are excellent with other dogs. We do ask that your dog be dog and cat-friendly if he/she will be staying with us.
A typical day
We have a huge fenced in back yard which is perfect for ball and frisbee-throwing, bird watching, and all sorts of dog romping. We also live close to several local parks and Ridley Creek State Park which has great trails for hiking. If your dog is ok with others dogs and going off leash, there's also great dog park in nearby Haverford. Otherwise, I'm happy spending time on long walks, hikes, and runs around the Media area

I've loved walking and caring for dogs since I was a kid, often borrowing neighbor's dogs to take them on walks while I was growing up. After college, I worked as a dog-walker for some time while building my career as a professional violinist. Some of my best memories from those years are being out all day with a couple of happy dogs! These days, my violin career allows me to mostly work from home, which means I have time during the day and some evenings to spend with pups. I'm a lover of long walks, hikes, and runs, and all of those are even better with a dog or two for company, especially with Ridley Creek State Park right around the corner.

Rachel was absolutely amazing with our pup, Leo. I have been searching for a dog sitter ( daycare) for long time and met with many people but there was no connection between us and very little communication which is very important for me when it comes to my baby🐶💙 She and her husband took Leo in like a family member , her dogs became his friends right away and they were a pack in no time. I also received lots of pictures and videos while Leo was there which I appreciated very much! We will definitely be using Rachel again !! Thank you so much 🥰
We have 3 dogs that we usually board but wanted to switch to having a sitter check on them. We also have a cat that we usual let roam and graze and have a friend check in on periodically. Rachel was great and kept us updated while we were gone. Rover report cards are nice as well. It was great to come home to happy pets rather than spending an extra hour picking them up from boarding.
Rachel is wonderful! She stayed with our two dogs - our older dog is sick and she gave him lots of extra tlc. She’s very caring and great with animals. It was hard to leave them but we felt so much more comfortable knowing that they were in great hands.
Rachel was wonderful, we would love to use her again!
