Hi, I’m Rachel! Animals have been a huge part of my life for the past 8 years. I started my career working in dog boarding facilities, where I gained hands on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. From there, I went on to run my own in home dog boarding and daycare business for 3 years in Georgia before recently relocating to Cedar Rapids. I’m also a certified professional dog trainer through Karen Pryor Academy, one of the most respected positive reinforcement training programs in the country. My background in training helps me understand canine body language, behavior, and individual needs, allowing me to provide safe, compassionate, and enriching care for every pet I meet. Whether your dog needs a walk to burn off energy or your pet needs a drop in visit while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I’m passionate about both dogs and cats and believe every animal deserves patient, kind, and attentive care. I currently offer dog walking and drop in visits and would love the opportunity to get to know you and your pets. 🐾💕

I give each pet individualized care and go at your pets pace. Whatever your pet enjoys that’s what we will be doing! I can also keep up on any training skills like leash skills, jumping, etc.

Rachel did such an amazing job with my 2 dogs while we were gone for 10 days. One of our pups is relatively new to us and was a bit anxious at first. She was very patient and did all she could to make him feel comfortable. I fully trust Rachel with my dogs and would send them back to her any time!
Rachel did an amazing job watching our dog. She sent pictures everyday, which kept my kids happy while we were away.

Excellent as always! My lab came home so happy. She really loves staying over at Miss Rachel’s house! And we love it too because we don’t have to worry about her while away.
Rachel was amazing, as always! She watched my boy for a week and although I always worry about leaving him, Rachel did an amazing job of keeping me updated with photos and how he is doing (even with me having very limited internet). Thank you always, Rachel!!
Rachel is amazing with my dog. I’m so happy I found her. She always sends a ton of pictures even some videos. It makes me so happy to see my dog having fun and he is always wore out when he gets home from a visit with her. highly recommend!

Schedule
Rover is my full time job so I have plenty of time to care for your pets. I also do virtual dog training sessions and volunteer at the animal shelter but my time is mostly spent with Rover clients.
