Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm with lots of animals!
I grew up with sheepdog on the farm, and also a poodle. Since then I have looked after other family dogs, and cats too. I looked after my sister's dog, a Cavapoo, for many months while she was ill, and had Siamese cats all through my married life.

Safety, trust & environment
I take care of any animal in my safekeeping very carefully, as I love them and want them to be safe and happy. My home is small but secure, and I could keep an animal inside safely. I would always keep a dog on a lead outside my house for its own protection.

My sister Rachel Matheson grew up on a farm where animals were a big part of our lives. This included much loved dogs. Daily dog walks were a fixed routine in our lives. Since then Rachel has continued to have a lot of contact with animals, including owning two cats which she loved very much. Another sister of ours owned a dog and when she became too sick to walk the dog herself, Rachel would step in to help on a regular basis. Rachel is entirely reliable and responsible and in my opinion would make a very suitable dog walker
Rachel has loved animals all her life. There were always dogs and cats in the family when she was growing up, to whom she was devoted. During adulthood she has cared for, and walked friends’ dogs, and looked after her ill sister’s dog for many months. She will be a wonderful pet caregiver, and I’m sure the dogs will love her.

Schedule
I was a teacher, but am I am now retired, so I have time to look after animals. I am fit and healthy and love walking, so dog walking would fit in well with my lifestyle, and give my walks a purpose and give me enjoyment too.
