Safety, trust & environment

I make sure I know what things your pet might get into easily and adjust the environment appropriately. Their safety is as important as mine. I try to promote as normal of a routine for them as possible - I need to adjust to their routine, not the other way around.

Information Rachel M. would like to know about your pet

Let me know about any unusual bathroom behaviors, where clean up supplies are, what their barking tendencies are, appropriate vocabulary for rewarding and naughtiness, what they might get into if anxious/bored, if they want to sleep in the bed, crate, etc.

A typical day

I enjoy playing with them inside and outside the house. I love it if they know any tricks and I can stimulate and reward them with those. Above all else - I will cuddle them as much as they let me :)

Pet care experience

I had greyhounds growing up and even had a chocolate lab for a couple years. Back home in Minnesota, our family dog is a 16 year old greyhound named Rainy! I currently have 2 kitties here in AZ, named Loofah and Krobus. I would love to meet your fur babies too! I simply love pets and it fills my heart with so much joy to see them happy and well cared for. I have years of experience walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes, playing with animals, and of course feeding and giving them their much needed potty breaks. I have been a Rover sitter for almost 10 years throughout my schooling years. I am a Physician Assistant moving from Iowa but originally from Minnesota. My job does not start until late 2026 so I have a lot of time on my hands! I am a pretty happy go lucky person and can't wait to meet your pet!

We are new to the area and after meeting Rachel we felt immediately at ease with her and so did Charlie. We went out of state for 6 days and She was so good to send pictures every day. On the last day after Rachel had gone home, our flight got cancelled and she came back to be with Charlie till the next day. I don’t know what we would have done without her. Thank you Rachel. Highly recommend her

Rachel did a wonderful job taking care of our cat. She took the time to get to know her, and Abby warmed up to her pretty quickly. She gave us regular updates. I highly recommend Rachel for her loving care.

Rachel was awesome and our pets loved her! Rachel went above and beyond during her stay, taking our dog to the vet for a last minute health issue and dealing with other shenanigans while house sitting and pet sitting for us. We are so, so grateful that Rachel was our pet sitter and would highly recommend her to future pet owners. Rachel was communicative, kind, easy going, and responsible. Thank you again, Rachel! Vinny and Apache miss you already.

Rachel took great care of Cora while I was away - even taking her on an adventure to the U of M campus!
