Reliable and Caring Animal Lover

Pet care experience

I have been an animal lover my whole life and have many years of experience caring for dogs and cats, as well as other animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. I have experience walking, grooming (basic), and caring for various dog breeds and ages and love to go the extra mile! Since childhood, I have taken a keen interest in volunteering with animals and have worked with many wonderful organizations such as Nova's Ark and Action Volunteers for Animals. I have cared for many pets growing up, most recently my 16 year old beagle, Clyde, who sadly passed away almost 2 years ago. I am very familiar with the special needs and care that senior dogs and cats require. I have also taken care of friends and family's pets for extended time periods as well. I am currently working as a Pet Health Consultant at Tail Blazers, a health food store for pets, for almost 2 years now which has allowed me to greatly expand my knowledge of pet care. I bring my love and passion for animals into everything I do in life. I believe our pets are family and so deserve all the love, dignity, and respect! Your furry friend/family would be in the best of hands in my care!

Rachel has done an amazing job taking care of Morris! She was very communicative and sent plenty of updates and photos while I was away. She took great care of my place too. Morris loves her and I will definitely have her back to watch him and stay at my house again! I highly recommend her.

This was my first time ever using a pet sitter, as our dogs have always stayed at a kennel. But due to an unexpected emergency surgery for our female American Bully right before our international trip, we had no choice but to find in‑home care. I was nervous, to say the least — two 100‑lb bullies, one recovering from surgery with sutures still in, and five days out of the country. Rachel was everything we hoped for and more. She stayed in our home and cared for both of our pups with an incredible level of attention, patience, and genuine affection. Our girl needed extra monitoring to make sure she didn’t run, jump, or get too excited, and Rachel handled her recovery with such calm, thoughtful care that I felt completely at ease. I received daily updates and photos — not just quick snapshots, but real moments of our dogs looking relaxed, happy, and completely comfortable with her. Whether they were resting with their heads in her lap or enjoying treats she thoughtfully purchased (with my permission), it was clear they adored her. Traveling while your pet is recovering from surgery is stressful, but Rachel made it possible for us to enjoy our trip without constant worry. She treated our dogs like her own, respected our home, and went above and beyond in every way. I can’t recommend her highly enough. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and truly caring, Rachel is the one you want watching your pets.

I have known Rachel for over 20 years. From the time she was a young child, she has been more interested in animals than anything else. Her passion for ensuring that all animals are well taken care of is her top priority. She has even gone out of her way to help wildlife when she sees an animal in distress. In the past, she has been a volunteer within animal welfare organizations as well. She has taken care of her family pets (dog, cat, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbit) diligently, even at a young age, such as cleaning litter boxes, small animal cages, feedings, walks, baths, vet appointments, not to mention their emotional well being. When it comes to your furry family member, you can rest assured that her top priority will be to see to the needs of your loved one(s) to the best of her ability. I would trust her totally with any of my pets!

Rachel dropped everything to help my family and I out with our cat last summer. She's not the easiest cat to deal with, but Rachel took her in with open arms and made sure she was comfortable to the best of her ability. Rachel's love for animals is clear and I can't recommend her enough!
