Rover Hi, I’m Rachel – a Dalston-based 31 y/o freelance brand strategist who loves dogs and is hoping to bring some dog time into my life while helping out fellow pet owners in the neighbourhood. Being freelance means I have a flexible schedule and am home most of the time, which means your dog gets proper attention, walks, and company throughout the day. While I don’t have formal dog-sitting credentials, I’m not without experience. I spent two months looking after my ex-partner’s one-year-old cockapoo – one of the most fulfilling things I’ve done. I even taught her a few tricks during this time. I’m also the trustworthy friend in my circle, so I’ve taken care of my friends’ various cats while they’re away. I’ve loved dogs my whole life but growing up my mum isn’t a dog person, so having one was never on the cards. Being on Rover means I finally get to make this happen! In my free time I love walking to London Fields and exploring nearby cafes and pub gardens – it would be lovely to bring a furry friend along :)

Rachel took wonderful care of our Cockapoo, Koko, while we were away on a work trip. Koko stayed at her lovely flat and looked happy, relaxed, and well cared for throughout her stay. Imogen kept us updated every day with photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. Seeing the smile on Koko’s face in every update made us feel confident that she was having a great time. She was warm, reliable, and very easy to communicate with from start to finish. We wouldn’t hesitate to use her boarding service again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter.
Rachel was a wonderful caretaker to my precious little furry cat son, Cosmo. She is a bit of an animal whisperer- Cosmo who is usually a bit anxious, especially in a foreign environment, settled in quite quick. She made sure he was comfortable and sent me lots of photo updates (at my request). I would definitely recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a safe space for their pet while they’re away on holiday!

Schedule
As a freelancer, I’m home most of the day on weekdays. My flexible schedule means it’ll be easy for me to pop out to walk your dog. I’m available for boarding all weekend and from 8am on weekdays, except Thursdays where I’m available from 11:30am.

I live in a flat in a three-storey building in Dalston. I’ve also spotted other pets in the building so the community is very pet-friendly. I live 10 minutes away from London Fields, and I’ll be more than happy walking your dog to the park for some proper greenery time.
A typical day
During the work week, I typically step out for a midday walk myself, either around the neighborhood or to London Fields. On the weekends, I keep it pretty relaxed. I either meet a friend on Broadway Market, or stroll to nearby cafes (I live close to Violet and love sitting outside). So I can imagine fitting in a dog in my schedule very easily. I am also happy to accommodate my weekend schedule to dogsitting :)
