Cat whisperer & Tabby mom!
Not only have I been raised around cats, and have a cat of my own (Henry!), I have been the go to cat sitter for 7+ different households and their fur babies around SF! All of my friends have considered me a cat whisperer, given I seem to befriend even the shyest and spiciest of cats! For the last 9 years I've regularly cat sit a wide range of ages, breeds, and amounts (I once sat often for a Main Coon, Bengal, Calico, Orange and Tuxedo all under one roof!). From seniors to kittens, introverted to extroverted cats, and everything in between. I'm experienced in both stopping by and staying overnight at homes depending on the cats needs and requirements, and i'm more than comfortable administering any medications the cat may need. I'll always be highly aware of how cats can be particular with their litter and food, and I can be trusted to know the signs of distress or discomfort they may show. Cats truly are my passion and I would love nothing more than to give your fur baby the best mouse chases, chin scritches, pspspspsps's, treats, and love while you're away <3 Photos, vidoes, and status updates daily while you're gone! P.S. I'm also more than happy to help with any other needs of your home: garbage, mail, plant care, etc.

Safety, trust & environment
Being vigilant about safety and health, having patience as a new person in their environment, and gaining trust with your fur baby are super important to me. I always try to make sure I know where the carrier is for emergencies and what the closest emergency and regular vet is. I'm always hyper aware and vigilant of changes in behaviour (for example when cats stop eating, using the litter, or hide in unusual spaces for long periods of time, or have breathing/asma issues). I'll always make sure food and water are refreshed daily, and litter or bathroom needs are met 2-3 times a day as needed! Of course, the best part is lots of playtime! I love being able to give fur babies enrichment so they get tuckered out and happy. I think it's so important to not just pop in and out, but to build a bond and make them feel happy through play! Im also happy to take care of any household chores needed while you are gone like taking out the trash, bringing in mail, dishes or watering plants. For my cat Henry, i currently live in an apartment and he is 100% indoor. Knowing how important water is for boy cats, I alway make sure he has a water bowl full daily with filtered water , and a running filtered water fountain. I clean his litter twice a day so I can make sure there are no issues with his health and he get's the cleanest litter possible for the day. We always give him wet food twice a day and ensure his dry food is full for the day. I also always make sure he has treats daily, and that his carrier is in an easy to reach area of our home for emergencies! We love to play with him when he is up, so he has toys and towers galore :) We call him King Henry because he truly is a king with the love we shower him with!

Rachel is one of the best cat sitters we have ever had! She obviously loves cats and goes above and beyond! She genuinely cares about the animals she watches. She also takes great care in respecting the homes of her clients. She is neat and orderly and very helpful. Our cats don't come out of hiding for anyone, but they come out to see Rachel! I highly recommend Rachel for any pet care needs!

Schedule
Tuesday - Thursday I work part-time in office in San Francisco, my shift is 8:30am-5:00pm so these 3 days I would be able to stop by twice a day for drop in visits (am & pm). I am available for overnight stays Monday - Sunday!
