Pet care experience

Downtown sitter w/7+ yrs on Rover!

*Please Read Full Profile* I lost my own furbaby (Bixby the Great Dane in my profile) so Rover has been helping me so much to cope with my loss! Your pet becomes my furbaby when I take care of it! If your dog is staying with me at my apartment it can expect tons of cuddles, loads of treats, all of the toys to play with, an orthopedic dog bed, walks around the city and romps in the neighboring dog parks (I live close to 4 different dog parks!) I also allow the dogs to sleep with me in my bed. I will take all of the pup cuddles I can get! I live in downtown KC's most dog friendly building! 75% of my building has a pet and there are no weight limits or breed restrictions. The front lobby even has communal dog treats :). I do work in an office about 30 minutes away Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday so your dog must be okay with being alone during the day for 9 hours. BOARDING: If you require that your dog(s) be the only client at my house I do charge an extra $40/day fee to re-coup from not having multiple dogs. HOUSE SITTING CLIENTS: I require a minimum of $100/night per stay so if you have cats the minimum is still $100/night HOUSE SITTING and DROP-IN REQUESTS: My rates on my profile are my BASE rates for people who live within a 3 miles radius of Downtown KCMO. If you live further than 3 miles from my apartment my rates go up by the following: 4-6 miles away - an additional $10/day or $5/per drop-in 7-10 miles away from downtown - an additional $15/day or $7.50 per drop-in 11-15 miles from downtown - an additional $20/day or $10 per drop-in 16-20 miles - an additional $30/day or $15/drop-in Message me today to book a meet and greet! I am so excited to meet your furbaby! *Any damage incurred will be billed back to the client* *The cocker spaniel featured is my parents dog so I do not have any dogs of my own at the moment

Great communication throughout the stay took all the worries away with a new rover. My dog didn’t want to leave after his stay!

Rachel was simply great! She sent us pictures and updates daily of our fur baby and it made our mini vacation that much more enjoyable knowing our Molly was being well cared for!

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a very secure and dog friendly apartment building. I have 24/7 front desk concierge, security, and cameras on every floor. The building elevators are all fobbed access and I have a Yale Smart Lock on my door. In addition, I have 3 NEST security cameras in my apartment that alert me if a dog is barking. They are located in my hallway, living room and bedroom. I also have NEST fire alarms and smart lightning throughout the house so can turn lights on for dogs when it gets dark out if I am not home yet.

Pets

A typical day

I love walking downtown! My favorite walk is a 2 mile walk to Quality Hill and thru Case Park, stopping mid-point at the West Terrace Dog Park in which I am a member of. In addition, we frequent the Walnut St. dog park, River Market dog park, One Light dog park and Two Light dog park.

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs, allergies or diet restrictions. In addition, as I do live in an apartment building downtown, please let me know if your dog is comfortable with elevators and potting on a leash. Lastly, as I live in a dense populated area with lots of animals and people, please let me know if your dog is reactive on or off leash towards people or other dogs
