Pet care experience
Grew up with animals, I love them!
My mom was a dog groomer, and her salon was at our home. Ever since I was little we’ve had dogs, and different breeds and personalities have cycled through our home. I started pet sitting neighbors animals when I was 10, and have loved animals since I could remember. One day I hope to adopt my own soon, but for now pet sitting is great in the meantime! In the years I’ve been around pets, I’ve had experience walking, giving medication, playing, staying at owners homes, and being there for owners pets while people are away.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
My apartment is kept clean, with open space for animals to feel comfortable. Chemicals and and detergents are kept on a high shelf. I can use crates if owners want or prefer that, during a meet and greet or over message that can be discussed further. Very quiet complex, and roommate also has similar experience with animals and care like myself. We are both female, in case your dog is distrustful of males, and will be accommodating to what the animal is used to in their regular home. I’m fairly active so I love taking walks with pets unless otherwise noted by the owner not to. Overall, my job is to be there for your pet and house them in a safe space, and make them feel happy and safe while their owners are away.
Ratings and reviews
Rachel was absolutely amazing. She stayed in touch with us daily and sent us photos of our fur babies. It was comforting knowing that they were in good hands.

Rachel was great! House sat for a week watching my dog and cat. Received daily updates and the house was spotless upon return. I would definitely recommend Rachel and wouldn't hesitate to use her again

Rachel was the best. My dogs loved her.

Rachel is friendly, prompt, and responsible. My dogs love her!
Rachel was great with our old sheepdog guy. He's having hip problems and isn't easy to care for, but she has looked out for him and been flexible and adaptable with his situation. Highly recommend.
Rachel took excellent care of our old guy, Gilly. Even though it was bitterly cold and snowy for his walks. She asked excellent questions to be sure she accomplished the highest level of care. Thanks so much, Rachel!

Schedule
I haven’t started my job yet, but when I do, it’s fully virtual. This will make pet care really accessible for me. I am also still a student, but that will also be almost all virtual. The virtual aspects keep it easy for me to make pets a priority.
- Cats0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsRachel can host up to 10 drop-ins per day
- For me, I like to know about the dogs personality, the dogs cues for when he or she needs to go to the bathroom, any medication they may have, if the dog doesn’t like sitters coming near them (for example, when eating), and any special circumstances for the dog!
