The main thing is that I have a toddler, so your pet will need to be ok with kids. He LOVES dogs and I haven't had any issues with that so far, but I know some dogs don't get along well with young ones, so if that's your dog, this probably isn't a good fit.
A typical day
It really depends on the pet and what they're used to, I try to stick to their normal routine to keep them happy. That can include lots of walks, visits to the dog park, and playing indoors.

I grew up with a dog and two cats, and had a dog during college. I've been pet sitting in my neighborhood for the past couple of years. I'm a very responsible and detail oriented person. I'm a stay at home with my toddler (and another on the way), with plenty of time to give your pets lots of love and quality care. Dogs must be good with kids.

Our dog made herself at home with Rachel. She did great!
Rachel was able to care for our dog when we really needed a pet sitter! She was a perfect calm for our energetic dog and cared for her so well: taking her on walks, giving her attention and making sure she had everything she needed. We were able to relax on vacation knowing our dog was in good hands and we highly recommend her.
Rachel has taken care of our Cavachon, Tucker, on multiple occasions. She has watched him overnight and for over a week at a time. I think that she and her husband are two of Tucker’s favorite people in the whole world, and he never hesitates to run in the door when we take him over there. We recommend her unconditionally to our other friends in the neighborhood. Rachel is our go-to dog sitter.
