Work nights so free during the day

Like the headline says I work at night. Typically four on and three off. I rotate sometimes having weekdays off sometimes having weekends off. I was born into a house with 2 alaskan malamutes. I grew up with and have loved dogs my whole life. I would feed, brush, and walk my own dogs, as well as my neighbors dogs. Anytime my neighbors would go out of town, for years I would be the one to go over to feed and let them out. . I love all breeds/sizes/shapes/colors. I have dealt with very scared/sedated dogs, and dogs that are very happy and hyper. I understand that some dogs may jump or play nip or take a moment to warm up to me. All animals are unique like people, and just like people you have you take a different approach with each one. At the moment I cannot bored animals at my home. However I do have a fabulous friend who does do boarding. Her name is Mollie Murphy and she has her own profile here on Rover if you want to check her out. Rover takes a portion of our fees, so we don't get the amount we have listed, which is why the rates are set as they are. At times Rover sometimes adjusts fees for various reasons. Feel free to set up a booking and then contact me and we can discuss fees for multiple animals or future services.

Safety, trust & environment

When I stay at a client's house, I treat it like my own. If I have to run out or do errands I do so and then come right back. I don't stay at my own home and occasionally pop over. That is where I hang my hat for the duration of the stay to spend as much time possible with your fur baby.

Dog Walking • Oct 04, 2025

Rachel has a great way with dogs, clearly. She has started walking my new lab / Jindo (Holly) from Korea (only 6 weeks in the US). The prior petsitter i used did not have success leashing her. Rachel on the other hand, seems to have an intuitive way with dogs, & Holly seems to be accepting her. Highly recommended:) Maureen

Rachel was wonderful with our two big babies. She sent updates and pictures each day and they both loved cuddling with her. We highly recommend Rachel and will use her in the future.

Rachel was amazing! She was very understanding and flexible through several changes in our plans. She was in constant communication, and I have no doubts that our menagerie of pets were in great hands. I would absolutely recommend her and rebook her in the future!

Rachel took care of our cats for us before Covid, so when we were ready to travel again, we were happy to find Rachel still here on Rover, and available to take care of them again. She's friendly, respectful, funny, takes great pictures for us, and is super-communicative. She also shows up when she says she will, which I vastly appreciate. All-in-all, Rachel is terrific, and allows us to relax into being away!

As a first-time Rover user with a shy cat, I was nervous about having someone new check on my kitty periodically. We really lucked out with Rachel. Rachel was patient with my many questions and walked me through Rover’s process. My cat allowed Rachel to pet her and even ate her food when Rachel was around, which is huge! I will absolutely book Rachel again the next time our schedules align! I recommend Rachel whether you’re a seasoned Rover user or a novice. Rachel is someone who definitely knows what they are doing and seeks to make your pet as comfortable as possible in your absence.

In terms of information need to know ahead of time, it's sort of just the basic information. Where their food is, how much food, if they get any medication, etc. Most of the necessary information needed for the visits I will receive during a meet and greet and then usually ask that my clients text me or leave a note with the information just in case or something that I forget or they forget to tell me at the meet and greet
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
