Retired Dog-Lover
I've had dogs throughout my lifetime, from childhood to very recently. My family and I had a schnauzer (who you can see in my photos!), who unfortunately passed away this year. As I have now retired from being a teaching assistant, I'd love to be able to change my child care duties to animal care duties and have some company to pass the days! I have lots of experience with older dogs too, as I cared for my dog Ozzie until he was almost 15. If I am dog sitting in your house, I cannot be anywhere where a Tom cat lives, as I am allergic to male cats.

This was our dogs trial day with Rachel. Great communication and help navigating the app after our meet and greet. Sent a photo during the day and the card sent summarising his day with photos, his walk route and time and even how many wees and poos he’s had!
At our meet & greet with Rachel I could tell Campbell felt immediately comfortable and at home. Rachel has such a lovely, caring way with him. She was very responsive in our communications and made my first Rover experience delightful. She sent frequent updates, including pictures, which were greatky appreciated and reassuring. Campbell had so much fun and fuss at Rachel’s I don’t think he was ready to come home! We recommend Rachel wholeheartedly and Campbell can’t wait for his next stay.

Rachel looked after our elderly dog Dylan whilst we went on holiday. Rachel was very welcoming and encouraged a meet and greet which put our minds at ease immediately. Dylan settled into her lovely home straight away and Rachel understood and met his individual needs as an elderly dog. I would recommend Rachel to all dog owners looking for boarding. Thank you 😊

Schedule
As I am retired, as long as I have some notice I can ensure the days you book me are free. I can focus entirely on your dog and his normal schedule. I like going on walks and it would be nice to have some company again whilst going on them.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a medium sized garden which is completely fenced off. I have a good sized house for your dog to feel comfortable in, and I'm happy for you to come around and meet so you are comfortable with where your pooch is staying. I live in a quiet cul-de-sac, with lots of friendly neighbors, and my husband absolutely adores dogs too.
A typical day
I will walk your dog as many times as is required for up to an hour each walk. There is a good sized park over the road and 3 greens plus a wooded area nearby.
