Availability
I'm currently working part time with variable hours, so I have plenty of time and energy for walks, snuggles, play time, scratches, training, baths, etc. On my available days for house sitting, I would only be out of the house 3 hours maximum, unless requested otherwise.

About Rachel H.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I believe in communicating fully about expectations with pet parents and will adhere to your pet(s)'s schedule and needs. When house sitting and caring for your pet in your home, I will make sure to spend unstructured time with your pet without expectations placed on them so they become comfortable with me, my smell, etc. When walking your pet, I will first always allow them to become familiar with me and their environment before beginning a walk so that they feel comfortable with me and know they can trust me (and you, too!). Regarding walks, I prefer to walk dogs on non-retractable leashes and am happy to provide my own when I come for walks.
Information Rachel H. would like to know about your pet
For walks, please let me know your dog(s)'s preferences and any specific behaviors I should know about (reactions to other dogs, animals, people, etc.) For visits and house sitting, please let me know your pet(s)'s routines, preferences, likes, dislikes, medications, allergies, and what their typical day looks like.
A typical day
I love to walk in Griffith Park, or really any park. Quieter, neighborhood streets are always fun for new smells and meeting new dogs and people. If your dog enjoys dog parks, I would love to take them there, as well, once your pet and I are more familiar. I also enjoy playing in the home with toys, fun training activities, and treat treasure hunts.

Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. House broken or not, puppies, seniors, and everything in between. I'm great with skittish dogs and difficult dogs as I have a very calm temperament myself. And I'm a firm believer in following dog parent's rules, so whatever rules you have in your house with your baby will be upheld by me (not allowed in a certain room, not allowed on furniture, etc.).
Reviews
Thank you, Rachel!

Rachel’s great!

Rachel was amazing! I’m always nervous booking a sitter for the first time, but Rachel was communicative, responsive, took care of my home, sent many pictures of adventures with my little guy, and made me feel completely comfortable - I would absolutely recommend her. Thank you!
Thanks again Rachel for taking such good care of my pup!!
