I work full time however my office days are varied and spend the majority of my time working from home. My work is very flexible for me to be able to reshuffle my office days around which makes it very easy for me to be at home during your dogs stay. If you request and there is a need for me to attend the office over the booking I will let you know before the booking is officially accepted.

I have a fully fenced spacious garden where my own dog runs freely in. It is perfect garden for a dog owner / sitter. I keep a key in my front door at all times so it is always locked. I also have a door which closes off my kitchen and living room to my hallway so if I get a knock at my front door, a dog can be kept safely in another room and not be able to get to the front door. I have dog seatbelts in my car. I have a ring doorbell and an indoor camera for security.

Information Rachel G. would like to know about your pet
Things I would like to know are: - Is your dog happy to be around other dogs? If no then please don’t book me for boarding or day care as my dog is very friendly and will approach another dog in the home. - Does your dog have any allergies? Or any treats/ food you do not like to give them. - How long can your dog be left alone? I don’t leave my own dog alone very often or for long periods but sometimes I do need to nip out. - Does your dog have any additional needs/ assistance they may need? Please see below more info regarding my dog. I do have a dog at home who is very friendly. Although we can put her in her crate for a break it would be unfair for her to be in there all day/ whenever I have a boarding dog or a dog in for daycare. From experience she is very excited at first and then she settles down and understands whether a dog likes to play or not. If your dog has no tolerance for other dogs or doesn’t get on with other dogs at all then I wouldn’t be the sitter for you.
A typical day
My dog gets walked first thing in the morning, on a lunch break and then after work. On a weekend we tend to do one longer walk. As she is a high energy dog I also like to tire her out with training, playing and getting her to sniff out treats and toys. We have a lot of space for dog walking near our home.

Pet care experience
Hi I’m Rachel & my partner is Sam and we believe all dogs should be treated like a member of the family wherever they are! We’ve both grown up with dogs all our lives. I had border collies growing up and Sam had a bull dog growing up. Within our families we’ve also cared for dogs of all different breeds. We are the go to family pet sitters! We both have a great love for dogs. We now own a cocker spaniel. We absolutely love helping you out when you need your furry family members cared for! We’re always excited to welcome new dogs as well as all of our lovely returning guests. Your dog will be treat as another member of the family and will get all the same treatment as our own dog does! Mabel our dog also loves it when all her friends come round to stay with her! I have been very involved in the training of all of my dogs and take an interest in further training to help my dog. I have a ring doorbell camera and 2 inside cameras for security. I am fully insured with my own business insurance on top of rover care. I can accommodate caring for multiple dogs at a time but this will be very dependent on what my work schedule looks like, the size and energy level of the dogs I have in. I can provide multiple care mainly on weekends. Additional requests when I already have a dog in will be considered on a case by case basis and only if I’m confident they will get on well with other pets in the home. I would be happy to take 2 dogs from the same home/ family if you can give me assurance they get on well (this will also be dependent on size/ energy levels of the dogs) any questions on this please let me know! 🙂 (Sharing photos of all the fun on insta: Mabel.and.friends.petsitting)
Reviews

As always, Travis has had a great time with Rachel and Sam. Their dog, Mabel, is so patient with his cheeky antics too!

As always, Rachel and Sam were great with Travis and let me know what he’s been up to. It’s always lovely to see the pictures of what he gets up to while he’s there. Travis is always so excited to see Mabel too 🐾

Travis had another lovely couple of days with Rachel and as always, loved playing with Mabel. Can’t recommend Rachel enough 💙

Great communication with Rachel throughout Bobby’s stay, and from the evidence of the photographic updates we received during his stay he clearly enjoyed the 5 star holiday treatment 🐶
