About Rachel B.
Communication
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets based on their needs that are communicated to me by you and by their actions. I am happy to spend an hour giving cuddles and pets or playing fetch - or any mixture in between! I will make sure I know if a dog has any allergies or behavior reactivities such as resource guarding or dog selectivity. Keeping your dog, myself, and those around us safe would be my top priority.
Information Rachel B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors I can help with. Whether that be allergies, medical needs, or reactivity, any and all information will go a long way towards giving your dog the best care they deserve!
A typical day
As long as your dog is happy, I’m happy! Whatever that entails, whether running around the yard playing fetch, getting all the sniffs in during a walk, or enjoying lots of ear and belly scritches. If you have some doggy puzzles or a snuffle mat, I can also set one of those up and let your dog get some mental stimulation in for the day.

Pet care experience
I was born into a house with 5 dogs, so my love for them started at a very early age. I now care for my 12 year-old pitbull who I raised from the time he was 3 months old. He has been the greatest joy of my life and has taught me so much about love, patience, and how to better "communicate" with dogs! I recently worked at a doggy daycare for about a year and a half before transitioning to focus on completing my BS in Biology. While there, I helped care for dogs from 5lbs-140lbs and ages from tiny 12 week-old puppies to 16 year-old senior sweetie pies. Each dog has their own unique personality and I love getting to know them! I also gained experience in crating dogs and learned a lot from our certified trainer. I would love to help maintain any skills you are working on with your pup. I also have a lifetime of experience loving and caring for both dogs and cats. I currently have two senior cats who keep me on my toes! I have experience with all sorts of feeding methods and with pilling cats. And endless amounts of experience with cuddles and saying pspspsps to get their attention 😆
Reviews

Detailed updates. Very good with shy dogs. Trustworthy.

Rachel is great with my baby chewy !

Thank you so much for taking great care of them and all the photos!!!

Rachel was everything we hoped for and more! She arrived on time for each visit and spent the full 30 minutes with our new little pup giving him a break during the day when we were gone. She was conscientious of changing out anything that was soiled in his kennel and kept him busy with lots of activity and play time. Rachel also went above and beyond during a visit where our older dog unexpectedly got sick...not only did she take her out, but cleaned her and her kennel up...it was SO appreciated since we weren't there to take care our girl. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would...Rachel has been amazing!!!
