I am happy to be a snuggle buddy and/or playmate for your four-legged critters while you're away. About me and my critters: I started fostering dogs in 2005 and I loved it! I absolutely love meeting new dogs, learning about their unique personalities, helping them learn how to trust and play and go for walks, and then experiencing the joy of seeing them placed into the perfect forever home. Eventually I fell in love with one of my fosters and he and I took care of each other for 8 years along with my cat. The three of us moved in with my partner and his dog and it was the five of us for a few years. Within the last couple of years we've been able to foster again and we once again have two dogs and a cat in our r family <3 About me and your critters: I have never had any formal training with pet handling, but I am very calm, patient, and firm, and I understand that dogs and cats have their own ways of telling us what they need or want. I love both big and small dogs, playful dogs and lazy snugglers, very friendly and painfully shy (same goes for cats!) I give great scritches and enjoy the company of both dogs and cats so if your family has both feline and canine members, I'm happy to help with both. About me, miscellaneous: I live and work in St. Paul and my day job hours generally range from 8:30a-5:30p M-F, but there is some flexibility within that schedule, especially with enough notice. So if your critters aren't accustomed to long days I could either make sure I'm home earlier on workdays or stop in for a visit around midday to break up the day a bit. (I'll make sure I can adjust my work schedule if needed before we book anything.)

I rely on pet owners to tell me what their furbabies are accustomed to as far as care, routine, and any restrictions. I then try to provide care that is as close to what they’re used to as possible while their humans are away

Rachel is wonderful with our aging great Pyrenees. She is great with her meds and any additional things that come up. She is very responsive and lets us know how our dog is doing while we are gone. She also leaves our house nice and tidy. I would highly recommend her!

Schedule
AS OF NOVEMBER 2025: I broke my leg on 8/3, had surgery on 8/8, and am getting back into the swing of things, but still have some work to do to regain mobility and strength. So my availability may still be a bit limited through the end of the year. * * * I work full time M-F in St. Paul. I am fortunate to have a job with some flexibility as to my hours so if your pet is on a specific routine or has time-sensitive care needs, please let me know and I'll make sure I can accommodate that before booking.
