When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on keeping them comfortable, safe, well cared for, and as close to their normal routine as possible. For dogs, I make sure they get regular potty breaks throughout the day, walks once or twice daily depending on their energy level and routine, fresh food and water, attention, affection, and playtime. I’m attentive to their behavior and needs, whether that means giving them exercise and stimulation or simply helping them feel calm and relaxed. I also stay on top of cleaning up any accidents and keeping the space clean and comfortable. For cats, I make sure they always have fresh food and water available, a clean environment, and attention on their terms so they feel safe and comfortable. I pay attention to their routines and behaviors, including letting them in or out as needed and making sure they’re doing well overall. I understand that every pet is different, so I try to adapt to each animal’s personality, comfort level, and routine to help them feel cared for while their owner is away.

I’ve had hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats throughout different stages of life. I raised my own dog from puppyhood through his senior years, including providing extra care and patience as he got older. I’ve also trained and taken care of my other puppy. In addition, I’ve cared for my housemate’s dog and cat — taking the dog on walks, cleaning up accidents, feeding, and making sure both pets felt comfortable and cared for while their owner was away or busy. I’m very patient, attentive, and genuinely love animals. I understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level, and I try to make them feel safe, relaxed, and loved while in my care.

Rachel was fantastic! I needed care for my high maintenance senior dog while I was away for several days. Rachel took great care of her and even went above and beyond. Great communication and spent the full half hour keeping her company even when she was finished feeding etc. Rachel, thank you so much!

Rachel was the BEST! Both my cat & dog love love loved her. Sent me so many updates on them throughout the day and then did a follow up the next day just to check on them after I was home and how they did after she left. 10/10 would recommend
