I’ve had hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats throughout different stages of life. I raised my own dog from puppyhood through his senior years, including providing extra care and patience as he got older. I’ve also trained and taken care of my other puppy. In addition, I’ve cared for my housemate’s dog and cat — taking the dog on walks, cleaning up accidents, feeding, and making sure both pets felt comfortable and cared for while their owner was away or busy. I’m very patient, attentive, and genuinely love animals. I understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level, and I try to make them feel safe, relaxed, and loved while in my care.

When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on keeping them comfortable, safe, well cared for, and as close to their normal routine as possible. For dogs, I make sure they get regular potty breaks throughout the day, walks once or twice daily depending on their energy level and routine, fresh food and water, attention, affection, and playtime. I’m attentive to their behavior and needs, whether that means giving them exercise and stimulation or simply helping them feel calm and relaxed. I also stay on top of cleaning up any accidents and keeping the space clean and comfortable. For cats, I make sure they always have fresh food and water available, a clean environment, and attention on their terms so they feel safe and comfortable. I pay attention to their routines and behaviors, including letting them in or out as needed and making sure they’re doing well overall. I understand that every pet is different, so I try to adapt to each animal’s personality, comfort level, and routine to help them feel cared for while their owner is away.

Rachel is an extremely compassionate and loving person. There is no doubt that these character traits translate beautifully into her competence as a pet caregiver. She is attentive, playful, and gentle, ensuring pets feel safe and loved ! My dog also deals with incontinence, and Rachel has never shied away from the 'dirty work.' Great pet carer all around!
Rachel has always had an extreme love for pets of all kinds and a deep care for them. She seems to have a gift that few people have --even very cautious or nervous animals warm up to her very quickly! She is also very responsible and a person of her word. She has house-sat and cared for animals frequently over the past few years. I have heard nothing but great feed-back from the owners, and some of them have had her back multiple times.

Schedule
Pet care fits well into my daily routine alongside my work in the restaurant industry. I currently balance bartending/waitressing with making time for walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and giving pets plenty of attention and care. I’m used to staying organized and dependable with routines, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals as part of my day. I always aim to make pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away.
