I've had animals since I was a child and have taken care of them all of my adult life. I have personally fostered over 75 dogs through to their adoptions! I'm a trusted caregiver who can handle animals of all sizes, ages, abilities and temperaments! I love getting to know each animal's personality and how to best take care of them!

Rachel was great to work with! My boy, Jethro, can be very anxious and excitable and she handled him with such ease! From the meet and greet to pickup, I was comfortable and felt that Jethro was going to be in good hands. I would definitely book again if we needed.
Sparky really enjoyed his stay and we felt so assured that he was safe and having a great time. He looked like he was having so much fun in all the pictures that we were worried he wouldn’t want to come home!!

If you have a dog with needs, or just a dog you love, I would highly recommend Rachel and Donald to you! It was such a blessing to go on vacation and not worry about my pet! My dog is old, blind and deaf, so I do worry when I go on vacation. If I am not near, he gets very anxious. And it is hard for him to navigate a new place. But after our meet and greet, my own anxiety began to leave. Rachel and Donald sent more than one daily update with pictures. For once, I was not in a hurry to get back home! When I picked him up, he acted like he would have been fine to stay longer. I could tell they loved on and cared for my dog as well as I do. I will definitely use Rachel and Donald every time I go out of town. Again, if you have a dog with needs, or just a dog you love, I would highly recommend Rachel and Donald to you.
Great communication and attention paid to pups!!! I was concerned that they would not want to come back home from their vacation.

Schedule
With several dogs and a cat at home, I am always in pet care mode (and know how important it is to find a trusted sitter). Whether it is a drop-in or a boarding situation, I treat each pet like they are my own. (Also, our cat has his own "wing" of our home so he is not interacting with any visiting dogs.)

We have two friendly, large dogs, Tennessee & Tucky who have been foster brothers to over 75 dogs of all sizes and ages. Having fostered so many dogs, I recognize that each animal is unique and I enjoy getting to know their individual personalities and how to best care for them. Whether the animals are in my house or their own, I will follow the owners' instructions and manage expectations so there are as few surprises as possible. I know how worrisome it can be to leave your pet(s) in the care of another, and I pride myself on making sure the animals are taken care of and enjoy themselves.

A typical day
I work from home, so your dog will have plenty of access to our fenced half-acre yard to run and fetch, and free rein over the couches when they need a rest.
