As a stay-at-home pet parent, I have the privilege of caring for two dogs, My fiancé and I prefer staying at home, where we spend most of our time. The big yard with the fence is wonderful for letting our dogs out on a regular basis whenever they have the need or just the desire to go out and play. A typical day here would just involve your pet being able to go in and out as they please with supervision. They are also welcome to sleep in our bedroom and up on our bed with us if that’s what they are used to at home. I also have dog buds for my dogs that they usually don’t use and anyone is welcome to sleep in those.

My family pets are all about both the indoor and outdoor life provided they're on a leash or in our fenced backyard. Our Aussie Shepherd is a wanderlust-free zone, but our Great Pyrenees/Poodle mix likes to roam, so we keep a close eye on her. She's got an Apple AirTag just in case, and we make sure she's always leashed up when exploring. Both dogs are pros at walking together, and my 40-pound Aussie Shepherd and 65-pound Great Pyrenees/Poodle mix are a dynamic duo. They're total sweethearts, loving people and animals alike, and I'm happy to introduce them to your furry friends! If you want to ensure your pet has human supervision at all times, just let me know, and we'll make sure to arrange that. And hey, if you're curious about my better half, you can meet him too - he'll be hanging with the fur babies alongside of me when he is home from work.

Pet care experience
The best part of your pet’s vacation at my home will be the individual full time attention and love that I provide. I will be here 24/7 at the owner’s request. I only book one family ( as many pets as you have though!) at a time. Your pups will have free roam of our 4 bedroom house and fenced in yard. They are welcome to sleep in the bed with us, on the couches, in the dog beds, or wherever they are most comfy! I have a medium sized crate at my home if you do crate them and have a crate at home that is hard to move around. I am also happy to stay at your home as well. My main goal is to make you and your pet as comfortable as possible while you are away from on another. I have cared for many dogs whom have never been away from their owners prior to staying with us. I currently have 2 dogs, but have been fortunate enough to have owned four dogs of different sizes and breeds throughout my life. My journey as a pet owner started when I was 8 years old with a Bichon, and I took active part in its care. I then had the pleasure of being a mom to a West Highland Terrier for 12 wonderful years. Currently, I am proud to be the owner of a Great Pyrenees and an Australian Shepherd, who are my beloved fur babies. In addition to my dogs, I have also shared my life with four cats, making me a passionate cat lover. As a stay-at-home pet mom, I am committed to ensuring their happiness and well-being. My partner, who is also an animal enthusiast and works as a mail carrier for USPS, is home five days a week. Together, we strive to provide a stable and loving environment for our pets. Our spacious four-bedroom home in a quiet Farmington Hills neighborhood offers the perfect setting for them to thrive. I am happy to provide pet boarding services, and I guarantee that your furry family member will receive the same love and attention as my own pets. My pets are used to interacting with other animals and have never shown any aggressive behavior. Please feel free to bring your pet's favorite bedding, as they are welcome to join our family.

Reviews

Rachel is always awesome! My little Winnie as a small dog loves to play with her dogs and they have a blast. Rachel is communicative and amazing! Used her before, will def use her again!

WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. Imagine your dog unexpectedly peeing or pooping inside the person’s house that you are TRUSTING to take care of your baby, and the person 8hrs of having him messages you, when you have a flight in the next hour, saying she will NOT take care of your baby for the week planned, when I ALREADY DROPPED HIM. I UNDERSTAND that having a dog doing that in the house can be frustrating BUT I assume every dog caretaker knows the risks and I personally would/could NEVER do that to a person. I would FIND A WAY to handle it when I already committed to a human to take care of their BABY. What kind of integrity is there? The person knowing we were going out of town and we have ZERO family here suddenly receiving a text saying to contact “my backup to pick him up” ?? Like if I had one! How could somebody do that. This is one of the most stressful moments of my life since my baby’s life depends completely on me and at that moment hers, and I trusted her. I am REALLY trying to not be disrespectful but I have to say for the sake of others that since I met her I felt a weird vibe but she reassured so many times in person, on meetup day, how much “she knows the value of having your baby with someone you trust when you are gone” which is EXACTLY what I look for and take my time to pick a rover. I was not convinced but my boyfriend and I wanted to believe. I confirm I should always trust my gut! Ps: be ready to read if you hire her, I’ve never read so much in my life but in a book, she uses the “voice txt” very convenient for her but very inconvenient for the reader, and I like to read- just too much unnecessary information on paragraphs and paragraphs and paragraphs I couldn’t believe it. I don’t know, anyways… thank you for reading and this review was written from pure heart and experience with her not hatred or vengeance (if that was my purpose I could’ve write what I truly think of her but I’m not that person). Good luck

Rachel was super sweet and it was clear from the start that Cruz would be in good hands. She kept us updated on how he was adjusting to her pet family and she sent pictures throughout the stay. Cruz was so happy and so were we! We would absolutely book with Rachel again!
