Highlights
Pet care experience
Avid belly rubber and dog charmer
I'm a very hands on and active person when it comes to dog care -- I can take your dog for runs, walks, to the dog park or anything in between. I had dogs growing up, one of which was epileptic, and I've dog sat for friends and family for long stretches of time for years. I've spent a lot of time caring for my sister's very skittish rescue pit mix and have some training experience. I am very comfortable around dogs and they're comfortable around me. I'm responsible and happy to come to your home to stay with your dog if need be.

Ratings and reviews
We are so lucky to have found Rachel! She was very communicative and provided a loving home away from home for our pup.

Rachel was absolutely wonderful with Buckley. She took the time to really understand him—his personality, his needs, and the kind of support he requires—which made such a difference. Buckley can be a lot, and she handled him with patience, care, and confidence. It was clear he felt comfortable with her, and just as importantly, so did I. That level of trust and attentiveness means everything. I’m so grateful for the care she provided and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone thoughtful and capable.

Rachel is the best!!

Rachel was an absolute dream. She was so patient and accommodating, not just with our anxious and dog-reactive pup, but also with our two birds. A stellar house-sitter and consistently communicative. We feel very lucky to have found her!

Consistent communication, sent photos, was great with our pups. Would be happy to ask her to help w our pups again in the future.

Rachel is outstanding - she took her time getting to know our cautious pup and was very gentle and supportive as he opened up. I can't recommend Rachel enough!

Schedule
I go into an office Monday-Thursday and telework on Fridays, so am limited in my ability to do afternoon walks M-T during the week, sadly. Friday and beyond won’t be a problem.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a small backyard that’s fenced in and live near dog parks and green space. I can crate your dog and am very gentle. Snuggles all day, every day.
A typical day
I get up quite early, which means your pup and I will start the day with a walk. I’m quite active, so we’ll be playing a lot in my yard or on walks, sometimes in a forest. Touch is big for me - this means your dog’ll be with me in my home office.

- Let me know if your dog has any special needs. My 40+ year old knees prevent me from running for an extended period of time (womp womp), so if your dog needs to go on runs I’m probably not the best person.
