Safety, trust & environment
My goal as a pet sitter is to keep your pet company and feeling cared for while you’re gone. My check ins are never shorter than a half an hour and typically more than that for love and pets or playtime. If your dog needs to be crated, I typically come later in the evening and earlier in the morning to minimize crate time and maximize walking time. I am fit for walking any distance, so your high energy dogs can have a good hour long stroll if you need!
Information Rachel C. would like to know about your pet
If your dog is aggressive to other dogs, difficult to handle (such as herding/aggression when sitter leaves), or otherwise shows significant problem behaviors, please let me know so I can determine whether or not it is safe for me to accept. I can handle a lot but not everything.
A typical day
A good long walk, a tug toy, or snuggled, whatever your dog likes, I can offer. Every dog has different tastes and I try to cater to all! Checking water and providing food as well as maintaining general space of your dog is a priority.

Pet care experience
I have run a dog walking/sitting business since 2019 and have just now moved onto Rover to expand my clientele. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and many a “problem” dog. Whether your dog is easy and uncomplicated or difficult on a leash, around other dogs, et cetera, I can help. I am six feet tall so can handle even the biggest of dogs. Your pets deserve excellent care, so any length walk and up to three visits per day works for me! Whatever you need, let me know and we’ll work it out.
Cat care experience

Rachel also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews
Rachel started walking our dogs in 2019, and they immediately fell in love with her. When COVID hit, we made plans for her to keep seeing the dogs, and it was the highlight of their week to see Rachel pull up! Rachel and her family have loved our dogs as much as we do, and we know they consider them to be their family as well. Throughout the seven years we have known her, Rachel has handled our high energy border collie mixes with ease and confidence, being kind but firm with their antics. Our Tinkerbell doesn't do her "happy yips" when greeting many people, but she does do them for Rachel. Get Rachel in your dogs' lives right now - you won't regret it!
Rachel is excellent with animals. She has a way of drawing them in so they are immediately comfortable with her, trust her, and listen to her. Your pet will be safe with her and loved tremendously by her. And that gives owners like me great peace of mind.
