Pet care fits very naturally into my routine. I’m a teacher, so I have consistent free time before and after school each day that I can dedicate to walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins. My schedule is predictable, which makes it easy to maintain a steady routine for pets and give them the attention they need. On weekends, I have even more flexibility and availability for longer visits, extended care, or overnight needs. I’m also off during the summer and school holidays, which allows me to provide additional support for ongoing care, travel coverage, or more frequent visits if needed. Overall, my schedule gives me both structure and flexibility to provide reliable, attentive pet care.

Safety, trust & environment
I provide a safe, loving, and active environment for pets in my home and in my clients’ homes. In my home, pets enjoy a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time and play. I have two friendly, well-socialized dogs who love having company and help create a welcoming environment. I always prioritize proper introductions to make sure everyone feels comfortable and secure. Pets get plenty of supervised outdoor time, structured play, and lots of affection. I’m very active and love going on long walks, so dogs in my care get regular exercise tailored to their energy level and needs. I’m also always up for a game of fetch or interactive play to keep them mentally and physically engaged. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I stick closely to their established routines — including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), and any special instructions. I make sure pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment while giving them attentive care, companionship, and plenty of love.
Information Rachel B. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, I like to gather as much helpful information as possible to make sure I provide the best, safest care. Important things for me to know ahead of time include: Daily routine: Feeding schedule, portion sizes, walk times, and sleep habits. Temperament and personality: How they interact with new people, other dogs, or new environments. Energy level: Whether they prefer long walks and active play or a slower, more relaxed pace. Medical needs: Any medications, allergies, past injuries, or health concerns. Behavioral considerations: Anxiety triggers, resource guarding, escape tendencies, or training cues they respond to. House rules: Crate training, furniture boundaries, backyard habits, or anything specific you’re working on. Emergency contacts: Vet information and preferred emergency plan. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep your pet comfortable, safe, and happy while maintaining the routine they’re used to.
A typical day
A typical day with the pets I care for is active, structured, and full of attention. In the morning, I start with feeding, potty breaks, and a walk to help them burn off energy and settle into the day. Since I’m a teacher and have time before and after school, I’m able to keep a consistent routine. After school, we’ll usually head out for another walk or spend time in my fully fenced backyard for supervised play. I love staying active, so fun activities often include long walks, games of fetch, and interactive play. If a dog enjoys social time, my two friendly dogs can be great playmates (with proper introductions and supervision). For pets who prefer a calmer environment, I’m happy to provide one-on-one attention, enrichment toys, and lots of affection. On weekends and during school breaks, have even more flexibility for longer walks, extra play sessions, or extended cuddle time. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I stick closely to each pet’s routine to make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for.
