I’ve been pet sitting and house sitting for many years for family, friends, and neighbors. I have experience house sitting, pet sitting, dog walking, and lots of experience with cats. My most recent pet I had for nearly 9 years was a cat I found at the shelter- we became inseparable. I’ve spent the last year traveling the US in my self converted camper van, and I’ve felt that the lifestyle doesn’t suite having a pet at this time- so being able to step in and help others with their animal’s needs truly fills a void in my heart! My most memorable pet sitting gig was for a litter of 8 Dutch Shepherd puppies and their momma. I also have experience with senior pet care and enjoy taking pets out and about if the owners would like. I also clean houses on the side which has exposed me to many different kinds of animals in the home and their varying personalities, needs, and sensitivities. I recognize what a large responsibility and privilege it is to step into someone else’s home and to care for their pets who have become their family. I treat each animal and home as if they were my own and try my very best to accommodate the specific needs of your pet whether it be crating, potty, medication schedules, anxiety, play time/favorite toys, etc.

Rachel is a delight to work with! She’s responsible, punctual and goes above and beyond to care for the pets she’s looking after. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caretaker or house sitter.
We loved using Rachel for housesitting with our lab, Drake! She did a great job and gave so much attention and love to him while we were gone. Her communication was very helpful and we will certainly keep her in mind to book a stay again in the future.

I had a wonderful experience with Rachel who watch our two Boxers. Our girl CJ was an old lady who was prone to accidents and Tank who was easily 90lbs of energy. Rachel was communicative, responsible, and clearly experienced with large, active breeds. She took the time to get to know CJ and Tanks schedule and needs. The dogs were happy and well cared for. I don't think they missed me at all. It's not always easy to find someone who can confidently handle two big dogs, but she did it with ease and genuine affection. Even more recently, our Dutch Shepherd had a litter of puppies! Rachel helped watch the pups from when they were just a few days old until they were ready to go home. She handled them, made sure they nursed, mixed their gruel, took them through stimulation protocols, and didn't hesitate to clean up after their messes. Rachel has proven herself capable to take care of tough breeds (i.e., Dutchies and Boxers) at every stage of life from new born pups to senior dogs. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable sitter.

I’m currently working in the surrounding area for a cleaning company. My daytime hours are pretty full doing that, however I am available for evening care as well as overnight care. Let me know if you would like more details regarding my schedule!
