Safety, trust & environment

My home has a secure, fully fenced garden with lawn and patio space for safe play and relaxation. I also have a friendly, gentle, and submissive 4-year-old Cocker Spaniel, who makes a wonderful companion for visiting dogs (when appropriate). Both my son and I are trained in Canine First Aid, and certification can be viewed on request. I’m experienced with a wide range of dog temperaments — including anxious dogs, reactive dogs, older dogs, and dogs with behavioural triggers — and I always prioritise safety, calm handling, and clear communication with owners.

Information Rachel B. would like to know about your pet

Any allergies. Anything that ‘triggers’ them, noises, movements, men! My old dog was very aggressive towards our feet (he had never been kicked) but he just wouldn’t accept anyone’s feet near him

A typical day

I take my own dog on a walk along the canal, through the woods, along the riverbank, through the field & back home every day, she is off lead, but I would keep your pet on a lead/longline. I then take her home & she can play in the garden but she usually just follows me round the house or falls asleep. My son then takes her to the park later on. Depending on how well your dog gets on with her, your pet can join us on our walks or I will take your dog on the same walk separately or a walk tailored to your dogs energy level.

Pet care experience

I’ve owned dogs from puppies and truly believe that the best life for a dog comes from enrichment, routine, inclusion, and kindness — not gimmicks or novelty. Dogs thrive when they’re mentally stimulated, physically exercised, and treated as part of the family, and that’s exactly the environment I provide. I understand that busy lives, work commitments, or mobility challenges can sometimes make it hard to give dogs the time and stimulation they deserve. That’s where I step in — offering calm, reliable, and tailored care that suits each dog’s individual pace, personality, and needs.

Rachel boarded our 10-month old puppy for 4 days at the start of the month. Rachel is amazing with dogs and we knew Ellie was in great hands when we dropped her off. We were given regular updates to see how she was doing, and Rachel provided us with a very helpful report of Ellie over her stay! Ellie had a great time, especially with having other dogs in the house for company! We’ve used Rachel’s dog boarding services before, and we definitely will continue to do so! We fully recommend Rachel, she definitely provided a 5* service and goes above and beyond 😊

Ellie (our 8-month puppy) had an overnight stay with Rachel, which went great. Rachel sent us lots of pictures, videos and updates letting us know how she was getting on. Ellie, of course, loved the fuss she got over her stay. Will definitely be booking again with Rachel! :)
