I’ve had cats since I was 8 years old, and even though I am a *self-described* cat whisperer, many cat people have agreed with that honorary title after seeing me interact with their cats. I currently live with a 17 year old calico who I adopted when she was 6, and caring for her as she ages has taught me so much about patience, boundaries, and routine.

My approach to spending quality time with your cat(s) is to let them come to me. So I will enter your (their) space ;), and immediately feed them and clean their catbox, all the while not trying too hard to win their affection. And then once I’ve taken care of business I will sit down, maybe on the floor, and see if they are ready to come sniff me/see what I’m all about/let me pet them/play with them. I will respect their boundaries and I will spend time with them for as long as they are interested in me. And I’ll talk to them, of course. :)

Rachel is our cat’s official sitter, and this is her fourth time caring for Mochi. Every experience has been wonderful, and we always feel confident leaving him in her hands. She sends the best updates and photos, which means so much when we are away. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I work part-time and make my own schedule so I am very available to drop in on your homebody kitties throughout the day and evening. I am not available in the early morning.
