Pet care is a natural part of our daily routine. With me working part-time and my husband Alex working mainly from home, there is almost always someone at home to provide attention, supervision, and care. Our day already revolves around our dog Leo, morning and evening walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and lots of companionship throughout the day. So welcoming another dog fits in seamlessly. We’re very mindful about maintaining routines, giving each dog individual attention, and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and part of our home.

It’s helpful for us to know your pet’s daily routine, feeding schedule, energy level, and any specific habits or preferences ahead of time. We also appreciate knowing about their temperament with other dogs, any medical needs, allergies, or triggers, as well as how they do on walks (leash behavior, reactivity, etc.). The more we know, the better we can make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and right at home with us.
A typical day
We enjoy keeping dogs happy, engaged, and active with plenty of walks, playtime, and outdoor time in our fenced-in yard. We also love interactive games, fetch, and simply spending time with them whether that’s playing, relaxing, or giving them lots of attention and cuddles depending on their personality and energy level.

Hi there! I’m Rachel, and my husband, Alex, and I are huge dog lovers. Caring for dogs has always been a big part of our lives, and I’ve been a Rover sitter for almost 10 years. It’s truly one of my favourite things to do. We’ve both grown up with dogs and have experience fostering, so we’re comfortable caring for pups of all ages, and personalities. We also have a new addition to our family, Leo, our 3-year-old Goldendoodle. He absolutely loves other dogs and is incredibly friendly and social. He may get excited when first meeting a new friend, but he’s very intuitive and always happy to play if they are, or respectful if they prefer their own space. He is not aggressive and is great about sharing toys and treats. With my part-time schedule and Alex working mainly from home, we have lots of flexibility and time to give your dog plenty of attention, care, and companionship. Your dog will never feel alone and will be treated like part of our family. We would spend quality time walking, playing, and cuddling with your pet, and I always send pictures and video updates so you can feel connected while you’re away. Overnight stays are welcome in our home, where your dog will be in a safe, loving environment, with a built-in furry friend if they enjoy company. Rachel was kind, friendly, and quick to respond from the very beginning. While I was away for four days, she sent me daily updates and photos, which gave me great peace of mind. My dog looked happy and comfortable in every picture, and he came home calm and relaxed. We can’t say enough good things about Rachel! She kept us updated every step of the way with thoughtful communication, photos, and reassurance that Baxter was settling in and having a great time. The pictures alone were enough to make us smile, but the real proof was when Baxter came home looking like he’d just returned from the best vacation of his life. He made a furry friend for life and honestly seemed disappointed that the fun had to end! Knowing our dog was happy, comfortable, and cared for as if he were her own meant the world to us. We’d happily book with Rachel again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pup.
Rachel was wonderful with our dog. She sent updates sff and photos, I didn’t worry at all about our dog while we were away. Her puppy Leo is very sweet !
Rachel took care of Gizmo for the first time this weekend. She is phenomenal! She sent updates and photos, followed instructions we gave her regarding his care and he came home happy and well-cared for! We are very glad to have found someone that we can trust and know that Gizmo is in good hands.
