I’ve been around dogs and cats for most of my life and started taking full responsibility for my own pets as a teenager. As a teenager, I also worked at a dog kennel, gaining hands-on experience caring for dogs of different temperaments and needs. I’ve continued to care for my own dogs and cats as an adult, which has deepened my love, patience, and understanding of animals. I began professional pet sitting last year, gaining experience following routines, giving medication, and paying close attention to each pet’s unique personality and needs.

I prioritize safety, comfort, and trust when caring for pets. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs and routines, whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, or playtime. I pay close attention to behaviors, respecting when pets want cuddles, attention, or space. I’ve cared for my own dogs and cats throughout their lives, including helping with births, and have experience following directions for pets in others’ homes. My goal is always to create a calm, safe, and loving environment for every pet.

Rachel stayed at my house for 12 days last spring while I went away on vacation. She took care of the house and my two cats. She is a responsible, considerate, and kind person. The cats took to her immediately. She also acted as a co-host as I rent out one of my bedrooms on Airbnb. Everything was in good order when I arrived home.
I highly recommend Rachael for pet sitting. She took wonderful care of my shy cat, Gracie, and made her feel completely comfortable — which is not easy to do! I really appreciated the photo updates while I was away; it was great to see Gracie relaxed and happy. Rachael also took excellent care of my home and outdoor space. Everything was clean, tidy, and exactly as I left it when I returned. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Gracie and my home were in such good hands. I would absolutely book with Rachael again.
Rachael stayed in our home in July 2025 for 3 days with our cat Theo. They enjoyed each other’s company and all went well. I would hire her again as our Theo is also an outdoor /indoor cat and needs to be monitored a bit more closely as we want him in when the sun goes down.
Rachael house/cat sat for me for a week while I was away. I came home to a clean house and very happy, content kitty. I spoil Izzy (cat's name) and she did too. I won't hesitate to have her stay again next time I'm away.

Pet care fits comfortably into my daily and weekly routine, as I have flexible availability. I’m happy to adjust to your pet’s needs . I can travel within Chatham and nearby towns.
