I work primarily from home so I’m able to build my schedule around my commitments and can be home any time that I need to be! I’ll be there throughout the day working from home while your pets are visiting! I’m gone for 3–4 hours max if I am out of the house.

Information Rachael R. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if there’s anything I can do to better care for your pet, how much they’ll eat, if they can be left alone, and if there’s any certain routines they have that I can accommodate to make sure they’re comfortable
A typical day
We’ll wake up and go out for a walk if your pup is used to it or if they’re enjoying playing outside they’ll run around and get their zoomies out before breakfast. Then they’ll go outside to play for a bit longer before resting inside. They’ll go out every few hours and get to play any time they want or snuggle on the couch ! I give out nightly treats if they’re allowed to have bones or snacks or if you send them with some.

Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of pups for 4 years on rover and have one golden-doodle that is very social and loves to play with other dogs! They’ll have a great time playing in the huge fenced backyard with regular treat breaks, cuddles, and love ! :) It will absolutely be your pup’s home away from home and they’ll be treated like part of the family! I feed separately and send daily pictures and updates so you know they’re enjoying their vacation just as much as you are. My roommate is also a veterinarian and can help with any emergencies if they arise.
Reviews

We had an interesting experience with this sit. We booked months in advance. Just for Rachael to reach out the day before we were to drop the dogs off. Asking if we could drop off the dogs later, due to something with work. We had a specific time in place, since we had to be at the airport. She then asked if we could drop off the dogs at 9am (original drop off 4:30pm) or keep the same time but drop the dogs off with her roommate. I get that life happens, but this was something that was booked months in advance. It was a little strange to me honestly. I was not comfortable leaving the dogs with said roommate, because I knew nothing about them. I was not paying this roommate to watch my dogs. When we dropped our dogs off at 9am. Rachael was not attentive to my instructions. There were certain treats/ and Rue was supposed to get a pill every morning. She just ignored everything I said. There were times throughout the sit I had to be the one to reach out and make sure my dogs were okay. I did appreciate the communicate and photos that were sent. When we got home from vacation, once again she reached out asking if we could pick up our dogs later. Since she was stuck at work.. she did offer to keep them another night free of charge. (Which was appreciative). I was exhausted from a long trip and just wanted to see my dogs. It did sounds like they were home alone for 4-5 hours. Or she left them with the roommate. Overall the dogs are safe and happy. There are some areas of improvement. My dogs came home exhausted, I know that they had a lot of fun. She is great with dogs though.

Lulu enjoyed her stay at Rachel’s and especially her time with Dwight. Thanks for keeping her safe and happy and me updated.

Definitely disappointed in this sit. We didn’t receive a warm welcome when we arrived - never got to meet Dwight or do proper dog introductions, the house was dark inside and out and it seemed we were being rushed to leave. Rachael said she would send photos but only sent them the next morning after we said we were coming to pick Maeve up. We got two low quality photos (one of her eating breakfast and one of her outside in daylight, which tells me she took none the night before) and we never saw any with her dog in them. We offered Maeve water when she got in the car and she drank like she hadn’t had water in hours. We also sent a brand new Himalayan cheese chew for Rachael to use if she really needed to and it was not in Maeve’s bag of items when we got home. She usually works on one of those chews for well over a month so I know she didn’t eat it all in the less than 24 hours she stayed over. Will not use Rachael again.

Rachael was so kind to take our two Goldendoodles very last minute for a whole week. With every picture we could tell they were being taken care of and spoiled! Highly recommend
