Safety, trust & environment
I know every dog is different, so I always take the time to learn their routine and what makes them happiest. Whether it’s a walk, a play session, feeding, medication, or simply keeping them company during a drop-in visit, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. You can expect regular updates and photos, so you’ll always know your furry friend is happy and in safe hands. 🐾
Information Rachael L. would like to know about your pet
Before our first walk or drop-in, I’d love to know about your pet’s routine, personality and any quirks they may have. Please let me know if they have any medical conditions, allergies, medications, fears, triggers, or behavioural needs, as well as any favourite toys, treats or walking routes. The more I know, the better I can make sure they feel happy, safe and comfortable.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to tailor each visit to suit them. Whether that’s a nice walk, lots of sniffing, a play in the garden, or simply some fuss and company, I’ll make sure they’re happy and well looked after.

Pet care experience
I’ve been working at a dog rescue for the past five years, where I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. I’m confident handling everything from energetic puppies to nervous or reactive dogs, and I always prioritise their safety, wellbeing and individual needs. Reactive dogs have a special place in my heart, and I love taking the time to build trust, understand their behaviour, and help them feel safe and comfortable.
Reviews
Rachael has extensive experience and knowledge with dogs of all breeds and behaviours and is an integral part of the team here at South East Dog Rescue. Rachael will take over the complete running of the rescue when I go away and is competent, hardworking and reliable. She is able to win over even the most traumatised dogs who come into our care and I could not think of anyone more capable to look after our dogs at the rescue and those she will take on as dog walking clients. Any dog taken out with Rachael will in safe hands and will have lots of fun 🙂
Rachael's work at a rescue centre shows just how dedicated and compassionate she is when it comes to caring for animals. She is patient, knowledgeable, and treats every animal with kindness and respect, no matter their background or needs. I have complete confidence that she would provide safe, loving, and reliable care for any pet. She's also friendly, approachable, and professional, making pet owners feel reassured that their animals are in excellent hands.
