Hi! I'm Rachael! I've been casually pet sitting for friends, family, & acquaintances for several years, and happily care for pets like they are my own. I am a psychotherapist with a background in behavior analysis and education in animal behavior (my concentration in college!). I deeply care about the ethical and compassionate care of animals, and take very seriously the task of caring for your pets! I really enjoy being with animals, and feel obligated to ensure they are getting the maximum enrichment they can from our time together. I'm very attuned to pets and the sometimes subtle behaviors they use to communicate with us.

I focus on exercise, engagement, and safety of your pets, beyond the basics of survival. I know animals can take a long time to warm up, so I do my best to give them space while also offering moments to connect with me safely. I also know that choosing a pet sitter is vulnerable and risky, so I ensure thorough follow-through, engagement and kindness to help you feel confident in your time away from your pets!

Schedule
I'm currently working remotely and often have large gaps in my schedule where I can drop in to feed your cats or take your dogs on a good, long walk! I'm usually only available for drop ins on weekends, but am happy to do overnights during the week.
