A typical day
I love to bring out special toys for higher energy cats to get them moving, such as fishing pole style toys or Yeowww! Catnip brand. For some dogs, fetch is classic of course, but some breeds prefer to walk and see the sights. My golden retriever loved toys for example, while my parents’ Great Pyrenees prefers to go “patrolling” the neighborhood.

I have four cats of my own, including one with HCM who is doing very well on Atenolol twice daily, and one prone to interstitial cystitis who needs a special diet and consistent routine. Quinn was fantastic, taking care of my two dogs, one of whom had had an operation and had stitches in her side and needed special care. She is calm and friendly, so the dogs felt comfortable with her immediately. She kept the one dog from licking and pulling at her stitches with quiet admonitions and glances - no physical interventions or restraints necessary. Quinn is a dog whisperer, really great at this!
