Working for Rover will be my (flexible) full time job! Most of my time commitments outside of work will be band rehearsals, performances, and nerdy activities that fuel my creative side. I am a huge night owl so I will tend to gravitate towards evening needs or overnights, but do not mind a lovely dog walk during the day! SPECIFICS: Mondays and Thursdays I have rehearsals in the evenings, so daytime only availability. If I am booked for an overnight, expect that on a M or Th I will be gone for 3-4 hrs those evenings depending on your location. Saturdays are usually busy for me from late Spring - early Fall, but this can be case by case. Lets chat. :)

Safety, trust & environment

I am very respectful of other's spaces and dislike leaving messes. I operate with a "leave no trace" or "leave it better than you found it" type of attitude. I work best with clear cut boundaries and instructions in order to ensure that I am not invading or changing your personal spaces. The more clarity the better.

Information Quinn A. would like to know about your pet

Dogs: Please let me know their behavior towards other dogs/pets, as well as other humans who aren't walking them. Do they lunge? Is keeping them on a tight leash necessary or can I give them leeway? Are they a frequent barker? Ok in an off-leash area? High or low energy? Cats: Please let me know their temperament - are they okay with a new person coming into their environment? Do they swipe or hiss? Other warning signs to back off?

A typical day

If I am sitting your pet for a full day/overnight, expect roughly 2-3 walks a day or walks combined with outdoor play/exploration, weather permitting. I love playing catch or tug-o-war with dogs. For cats, expect casual playtime with toys or catnip if they are provided, a few times a day. Litter scooping once/day. To note: I typically utilize public transit or the occasional Lyft, so driving to separate locations for additional enrichment isn’t possible for me at this time (unless your pup likes to ride the bus).

Pet care experience

(They/Them) I have lifelong experience with raising and taking care of various pets. There was never a time in my life where my family hasn't had at least one cat or dog! In my younger years, I have helped take care of smaller dogs like Yorkies and Westies, and in older years, bigger breeds like Pitbulls (I have the most experience with them!), Rottweilers, Great Danes, etc. I'm both a dog and cat person! Cats are also my bread and butter, I love any cat with all my heart. I have also raised several fish and the occasional lizard. I do not mind jumpy animals at all and have a lot of patience with skittish ones. I am experienced with both young and elderly animals. I am familiar with administering oral and topical medications as a recent caretaker of an elderly (19 years old) cat, and 13 and 11 year old Pitbulls. I am very detail oriented and will triple-check any medication dosages or food amounts. I love to spoil pets as well and give lots of affection and/or may sneak a little treat or two if you allow! ;) My parents, roommates, and friends often call me as a first resort to sit their animals while away on vacation. As an introvert, spending time with animals is my happy place!

Quinn did an excellent job watching my doggo Kanna. They were really responsive and I appreciated the lovely photos they sent. Kanna got to go on a really long walk at a local park which she surely loved. Quinn super exceeded my expectations in all areas and I'm grateful they could watch kanna for her first time in a new house while I was away.

Quinn is excellent with animals, and has been known to take care of their friends pets when they are on vacation. They have good attention to detail, and will make sure your pet is always getting the right food, medication, and bathroom breaks. Whenever I'm out of town I trust them to look after my pets!
