Pet care experience

Dog-Walker & Cat-Cuddler in Oly

Hello there, I'm Quincy! I grew up on a farm taking care of goats, horses, chickens, cats & dogs. During which I heavily participated in cleaning up after, feeding, and of course completely adoring these animals. Dog walking & cat-sitting professionally have been a part of my life for the last 2 years and have many references to provide if needed. Providing this service has consistently felt like a mutually rewarding experience for everyone involved. I love caring for animals and helping others do the same! It should be noted I have also worked with elderly animals as well as animals with disabilities. Before I changed my career focus to animal-care taking I worked as an infant/toddler nanny, for the over 6 years. Giving me lots of general caregiving & house-keeping experience. On top of that, I've also been an independent contractor doing house cleaning over the course of the last few years.

House Sitting • Mar 03, 2024

Quincy is amazing with animals. She is so kind and understands and appreciates all of their personalities. I cannot recommend Quincy highly enough, and I am so grateful that she was able to house and pet sit for us during a very stressful time.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I have a completely open schedule. I'd prefer working/dog-walking/cat-sitting between the hours of 8 am & 8 pm. In the past I usually dog walk at 8 am and again at 8 pm. When I have house-sat (with cats) it has been for 1 week to 3 weeks at a time. I am open to many possibilities. These are just examples of what I've done in the past.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

As far as providing care for animals in my client's home goes, I am extremely attentive to an animal, its needs, and my client's needs & requests. I want to befriend the animal, if possible, and certainly feed, hydrate, walk (if dog) and clean up after the animals however needed. I will not be able to have any pets in my home currently. I can certainly drive to you & provide dog walks or house-sitting though!

A typical day

If it's a dog: we will play with toys, play keep away, go walk, and potentially have some snuggle time. Like I do with my dog everyday! I will also take them outside to go potty as often as what it regular and feed them. If it's a cat: We will play with cat toys around the house, they will get fed roughly twice a day, and (if it's a cuddly cat, or it feels called to) we will definitely embark on some cuddling! There are fewer things in this world more heart-melting & relaxing to me than a purring cat on my lap!

I would love to know if your pet has any special needs, health issues, or behaviors I will need to be aware of/such tend to. For example: if the dog is not friendly with strangers or other dogs I would want to know this. Or if your dog needs special medication, is deaf, etc.
