I currently work at a professional pet hotel, daycare, and boarding facility, where I care for dogs and cats with a wide variety of personalities, needs, and energy levels. I have experience safely handling dogs of all sizes, from tiny pups to extra-large breeds which can range from <5lb to 140lb, and regularly supervise groups of 10–15 dogs at a time. My responsibilities include maintaining a safe and controlled environment, monitoring interactions, recognizing changes in behaviour, and ensuring each dog receives an appropriate balance of exercise, enrichment, play, rest, and affection. I understand that successful pet care is not only about keeping animals active and it is also about helping them feel calm, comfortable, and secure. Through my work, I have cared for puppies, senior pets, blind dogs, nervous or sensitive animals, and pets with health concerns that require additional patience and careful handling. Every animal is different, so I adapt my approach to their individual personality, routine, physical abilities, and comfort level while closely following the instructions provided by their family. I am also a pet parent to three dogs and three cats, including two Cocker Spaniels, a Miniature Schnauzer puppy, and three wonderfully different cats. Caring for my own animals has given me firsthand experience with puppy energy, senior-pet needs, multi-pet households, and plenty of unique personalities.
