When I care for pets in my clients' homes, I make sure to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I start by familiarizing myself with their feeding schedules, favorite activities, and any special needs they might have, like medications or specific dietary requirements. I make sure the environment stays clean and safe by regularly cleaning food and water bowls, tidying up any messes, and keeping an eye on their general well-being. For dogs, I ensure they get plenty of exercise and attention, going for walks and engaging in playtime. With cats, I respect their space but also offer interaction, like playing with their favorite toys or just providing companionship. I also pay attention to the pet’s mood and behavior, adjusting my approach as needed. If I notice anything unusual, I immediately inform the pet owners to keep them in the loop. My goal is to make sure the pets feel comfortable, loved, and secure in their own home while their owners are not there.
