I would absolutely not recommend this sitter. I ultimately had to involve Rover directly and end the stay early due to serious concerns regarding the care my dog was receiving. My dog is blind, extremely gentle, and relies heavily on routine, including regular walks and attentive supervision. Throughout the stay, communication was minimal and inconsistent, despite me being overseas and repeatedly trying to get reassurance about her care. What I found most concerning was being told that my dog was being walked and cared for appropriately, while information available to me strongly suggested otherwise. Like many households, I have a Ring doorbell system at my property, and it became clear through this that the care routine I was being told was happening was not actually taking place. I found this deeply upsetting, particularly given my dog’s additional needs and vulnerability. This was an incredibly stressful experience while travelling internationally, and I was left feeling that my dog’s needs were not being prioritised. I ultimately had to arrange alternative care with Rover’s involvement because I no longer felt confident that I was receiving honest or accurate updates about my dog’s wellbeing. I take leaving a review like this very seriously, but I do not believe this sitter provided the level of care, transparency, or accountability required — particularly for a vulnerable dog with additional needs.
