My WFH days are flexible. I walk dogs before 10am, noon, and after 2pm. I am by Astoria park and other quiet routes if I’m working with an anxious or reactive dog.

Everything depends on the needs and personality of the dogs. I am good at assessing what triggers dogs. My roommates also have experience watching dogs. I don’t have an over excited approach when I first meet a dog. I allow them to sniff me and I throw a treat in their direction so they learn I can be trusted.

Barking behavior, aggression, biting, and if they are leash reactive. It helps me prepare beforehand so there are no surprises. I.e. choosing a quieter route or keeping a safe distance when I greet the dog.
A typical day
Astoria park, chew toys, snuggles on the couch, walks, and ocasional photo shoots. Whatever the dog needs I will be there to support. Some like to cuddle, others like to be left alone.

I’m an immigration paralegal for youth with a hybrid job. I go to the office once a week. I have experience caring for all kinds of dogs - big, small, anxious, energetic, moody, elderly, on medication. I love them all. I have a firm but gentle approach with dogs, and I usually gain their trust in no time.
