When I care for your pet, I want to make sure I’m providing the best and most comfortable experience for them. To do that, I’d love to know as much as possible about their needs, personality, and routine. Could you tell me about their medical history, any medications, allergies, or past injuries I should be aware of? I’d also like to know their feeding schedule, portion sizes, and any dietary restrictions. It helps to understand their behavior ...are they shy, energetic, or anxious? What are their favorite activities, toys, and comfort items? Are there any fears I should be mindful of, like loud noises or other animals? If you have a dog, I’d love to know about their leash behavior and socialization. For cats, it’s helpful to know their play style and if they have any favorite hiding spots. Also, if you could share emergency contacts, your vet’s information, and any special care instructions, that would help me make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
A typical day
When I pet sit, I focus on making sure the animals feel loved, entertained, and comfortable. With dogs, I take them on adventure walks through parks or scenic trails, letting them sniff and explore. I set up fun obstacle courses at home and keep their minds engaged with training games and new tricks. We wind down with cuddle sessions and their favorite toys. With cats, I keep them active with feather wands, laser pointers, and diy puzzle toys. I build box forts, scope out cozy window spots for “cat tv” and offer plenty of affection if they want it. Whether playing, training, or relaxing, I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for.
